August 16, 2020 - Cedar Park, Texas


The incident began after the suspects mother called 911 around 3pm, saying her son had kicked in the door and was becoming aggressive. Officers Jacqueline Quiles, Officer Cris Hester and Officer Nik Anderson arrived and were shot at when they entered the home located at Heritage Park Drive and Bagdad Road. The officers were able to fire back and leave the house to get to safety. One officer was had a shot described as a graze to the head, one was shot near their vest and another was shot in the upper arm. After the shooting, the suspect stayed barricaded in the home throughout the night until the next morning as negotiators tried to get him to come out and release his family.
We provide these quilts to provide comfort to Officer Quiles, Hester and Anderson while they recover.

Prince Georges County Police Department
August 23, 2020 – Landover Hills, Maryland


The officers responded to a home invasion in the 1300 block of Capital View Terrace and were ambushed by gunfire. The first officer that arrived was shot three times after he confronted the suspects. He was able to call for backup and treat himself while additional help arrived. When backup arrived, two additional officers were shot by the suspects after running to the aid of their fellow officer. As the suspects were fleeing the scene in a car, the officers returned fire, causing the two men to crash their car into a tree. They were taken into custody after the crash.

Daytona Beach Police Department
August 29, 2020 – Holly Hill, Florida

Daytona Beach and Holly Hill police officers responded to a tip on the location of a suspect in an attempted murder case. When they entered an apartment at Casa Espanola at 1629 Espanola Avenue, a man fled into a back bedroom. As they entered the back bedroom the suspect began firing at the officers.
Officer Shane Jackson and Dominic Beese were injured. One officer took a bullet to their bulletproof vest and the other one fell injuring his neck and back. Both officers were taken to Halifax Health Medical Center.

Petoskey Department of Public Safety
August 27, 2020 – Petoskey, Michigan
Officer Brock Kimball pulled over a driver for swerving at another vehicle. The driver had several children in the vehicle with him and was initially not communicating with Officer Kimball, but he was making phone calls to news outlets. The suspect threw a hot liquid at the face of Officer Kimball during the traffic stop in Emmet County and then lead officers on a chase into nearby Antrim County.

San Bernardino Sherriff’s Office
August 10, 2020 – Newberry Springs, California
Around 9pm in the 41000 block of Dogwood Street. Deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance call after a 911 caller reported a family member inside the home was causing a disturbance. According to a sheriff’s news release, “As the deputies exited their vehicle, the suspect came out of the bushes and attacked the deputy on the passenger side with a machete. A third deputy arrived as the attack occurred and a deputy-involved shooting occurred.”
The Deputy Sheriff, assigned to the Barstow Sheriff’s Station, suffered numerous wounds to his upper body because of the attack. The deputy was airlifted to the hospital for treatment.

California Highway Patrol – Central Division
August 22, 2020 – Tulare County, California
Around 2:30am two California Highway Patrol officers, investigating a stalled car, stopped their vehicle on the side of the highway near Betty Drive. The driver was driving a stolen car then struck the patrol vehicle from behind which had one door open at the time. The impact caused one of the officers inside the unit to be thrown from the car. The second officer was away from the patrol vehicle and not injured. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the CHP officer to Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia with a concussion and an elbow injury.
We provide this quilt to let this officer know we care.

August 5, 2020 – Honolulu, Hawaii
A Deputy was conducting route checks and observed a suspect near an abandoned warehouse on Ualena Street just before 5pm. While in the process of identifying the man, the suspect assaulted the Deputy and struck him with an unknown object. The suspect struck the Deputy several more times with the object, at which time the Deputy discharged his firearm striking the suspect in the leg to end the assault.
The Deputy was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
We send this quilt to let this Deputy know we care.

June 16, 2020 – Kapolei, Hawaii
Around 5am on H-1 a FedEx van was driving in the eastbound direction of the freeway when he and another vehicle collided. The driver of the delivery van lost control and crashed into the median, ejecting him into the westbound lanes of the H-1, where he was then struck by multiple vehicles. Sadly he passed away. Officer Albert Rosario stopped to help and was hit by another vehicle, which fled the scene. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
We send this quilt to provide comfort while Officer Rosario continues to recover.
Trooper Ashlee Hill
Tennessee Highway Patrol
August 5, 2020 – Dandridge, Tennessee
Trooper Ashlee Hill was driving north on I-81 and was in the process of moving from the left lane to the right shoulder with emergency lights activated. She was in the area to help slow down traffic while workers were mowing trees in the median. When she moved into the right lane, she moved into the path of a semi-truck, who swerved to avoid the collision but was unable to stop. The truck hit the cruiser, causing it to slide several feet and spin several times before stopping in the middle of I-81 North. The semi-truck also rolled over.
We provide this quilt to Trooper Hill to provide comfort while she recovers.

Lexington County Sheriff’s Office
August 10, 2020 – Lexington County, South Carolina
Deputies were responding to a domestic disturbance at an apartment on Cottonwood Lane around 5pm at the Woodland Village Apartments. On the way to the scene, the woman involved called 911 again to say the man was armed and he had tried to start a fire. Irmo Fire Department responded along with deputies. When the deputies arrived, the suspect was holding a child and had a handgun. The deputies ended up having to go hands on with the suspect to save the child’s life.
One deputy had a gunshot wound to the arm. The other was shot in the lower body and was also shot in the upper body in his vest.
We send these quilts to these deputies to give them comfort while they recover.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Officer
August 24, 2020 – Lincolnton, North Carolina
Deputies responded around 12:15pm to a domestic disturbance on Gaston Webbs Chapel Road. After clearing the call, they learned that the man living at the residence had four outstanding warrants. Deputy Spurling and Alexander returned to the home to serve the warrants and the suspect retreated into a block building on the property and began firing.
Deputy Spurling was transported to Atrium Health –Main in Charlotte where he is being treated for shotgun pellets to the face. Deputy Alexander was struck in the arm by shotgun pellets and was being treated at Atrium Health – Lincoln.

Chicago Police Department
August 28, 2020 – Chicago, Illinois

Two Chicago Police Officers were westbound in their patrol car about 4:30pm in the 8300 block of South Rhodes Avenue when they struck a car attempting to make a left turn.
Both officers suffered head injuries and were taken to a hospital in serious condition.
We provide these quilts to these officers to provide some comfort while they recover.

Bothell Police Department
July 13,2020 – Bothell, Washington
Around 9:30pm Bothell officers tried to pull over a driver heading west on SR 522. After a short chase, the driver struck a man on a scooter and crashed through a center median in the 10300 block of Woodinville Drive. Gunfire was exchanged as the driver got out and ran from the car. Backup officers arrived at the scene to find Officer Jonathan Shoop had died and Officer Mustafa Kumcuk was wounded. He was rushed to Harborview. A manhunt ensued as several police agencies and police dogs swarmed the area looking for their suspect. He was located around 3:30am.
We send our condolences to the family and department for the loss of Officer Shoop.💙

Sacramento County Sheriff
August 22, 2020 – Sacramento, California
Authorities received a call around 7 p.m. from a woman on the 160 block of Dutchess Way near Mills Station Road who said her grandson was in her house pointing a gun at her. She had a restraining order against him. Arriving deputies recognized the gunman outside the residence. The suspect then fled, leading officer on a foot pursuit when a shootout began. One Deputy was shot twice and was in critical condition and underwent surgery.
Update:
The Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post, the deputy was critically wounded in the gun battle and is now recovering. He was escorted home from UC Davis Medical Center by a parade of law enforcement.

Detective Jose Garcia
McAllen Police Department
September 10, 2020 – McAllen, Texas
A driver of a suspect vehicle was wanted on a warrant for burglary of a building when officers encountered him. Detective Jose Garcia reached inside the vehicle door to arrest the suspect, the suspect drove in reverse and then forward at high speed. The suspect then pinned Detective Garcia against a building with his car. Then the suspect dragged Detective Garcia with his car for a distance before he was able to free himself.
We send this quilt to Detective Garcia to provide comfort while he recovers.

Saugus Police Department
August 6, 2020 – Saugus, Massachusetts

Officers went to a home to investigate a report of a stolen U-Haul truck and said they could see the suspect through a window. The suspect began yelling at the officers. The suspect has longstanding mental health problems and the comments being yelled indicated he may need some help. Firefighters were called to help break down the door as the suspect held it shut.
As officers entered the home, they tried to wrestle the suspect to the ground and that’s when the first officer was stabbed in the upper arm. The second officer was stabbed in his upper arm, a wound that left bone exposed, and the third officer was stabbed twice in the forearm, leaving tendons exposed. The suspect was eventually taken into custody.
Police Assistant Chief Ronald Giorgetti said the outcome of the incident “could have been much worse” and praised the officers for their restraint.

Fire Captain Doug Vance
Lincoln Park Fire
July 10, 2020 – Lincoln Park, Michigan
The incident happened in the city of Lincoln Park on NB I-75 near Dix Hwy, at around 8:15pm when a semi-truck crashed into the side of their fire truck. The crew arrived at a jack-knifed semi and car accident. An engine was sent to block the scene. The crew had only been at the scene for about two minutes. After stepping out of the engine, the Fire Captain Doug Vance returned to it to grab a mask. The impact happened as the Captain Vance was retrieving his mask.
Update: Captain Vance was discharged from the hospital and is at home recovering now.

Officer Joshua Wisniewski
Chatham Police Department
August 11, 2020 – Chatham, Massachusetts
At approximately 08:42 p.m., the Chatham Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash in the intersection of Crowell Road and Northgate Road. The crash involved three vehicles.
1) Jeep Cherokee 2) Police Cruiser, Operated by Officer Joshua Wisniewski 3) Jeep Wrangler
Based on the preliminary investigation, the Jeep Cherokee was travelling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Northgate Road approaching the intersection with Crowell Road. At the same time, Officer Wisniewski was travelling southbound on Crowell Road, and the Jeep Wrangler was travelling northbound on Crowell Road. The Jeep Cherokee entered the intersection onto Crowell Road without stopping or yielding to Crowell Road traffic. The Jeep Cherokee struck Officer Wisniewski’s vehicle, and then both vehicles were pushed into the northbound lane of Crowell Road, striking the Jeep Wrangler. As a result of the collision, the Jeep Cherokee’s final rest stop was on top of the police vehicle and the Jeep Wrangler. All three vehicles sustained major damage.
Officer Wisniewski was transported to Cape Cod Hospital and was released.

Officer Jerry Rhodunda
Falls Township Police Department
August 22, 2020 – Falls Township, Pennsylvania
Officer Jerry Rhodunda was involved in a pursuit of a motorcycle around 9:30pm when his patrol SUV left the Route 1 ramp to I-295 east in Middletown Township. The SUV went across the grassy area surrounding the ramp, struck a tree, and ended up on its roof. Firefighters had to cut open both sides of the SUV to free Officer Rhodunda, who was trapped. It took firefighters a little more than 30 minutes to free him.
Officer Rhodunda was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.

It is with great pleasure we can say “Welcome Home” to Officer Jeffrey Rhodunda! Ofc. Rhodunda was injured in an accident on August 22 and suffered serious injuries while pursuing a reckless motorcycle.

Trooper Ted Davis
Ohio State Patrol
August 20, 2020 – Zanesville, Ohio
The crash occurred round 1:15 a.m. when Trooper Ted Davis was sitting in his cruiser near milepost 142. According to Trooper Brice Nihiser with OSHP’s Public Affairs Unit, Trooper Davis had just completed an investigation of a two-vehicle crash, and the roadway was being cleared of debris. Trooper Davis was sitting in his cruiser in the right lane of I-70 westbound with his emergency lights active when another vehicle struck the trooper’s cruiser in the rear. The cruiser was then pushed into a wrecker that was on scene handling the previous crash. Trooper Davis was taken to Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

EMT Dawson Rice
American Ambulance
July 26, 2020 – Osceola County, Florida
EMT Dawson Rice was badly injured when he was struck by a vehicle as he was assisting victims in a crash. The young man remains in critical condition at Osceola Regional Medical Center, where his parents still haven’t been able to see him. “His left arm is fractured in multiple places. His pelvis is fractured in multiple places. He’s had to have his spleen removed. His bladder was ruptured,” said Jeremy Rice, the EMT's father. Rice described some of the injuries his son, Dawson, suffered when he was hit by a car early Sunday morning in Kissimmee. The 21-year-old was working a shift as an EMT when he stopped to help victims of a crash on Orange Blossom Trail. The crash report says that’s when a car hit Dawson. “He was in the slow lane, according to the police report, veered over into the median and everyone tried to get out of the way and he was going fast enough to where my son couldn’t get out of the way,” Rice said. Officer Justin Pruett
Kenosha Police Department
August 8, 2020 – Kenosha, Wisconsin
Officer Justin Pruett responded to the 4600 block of Sheridan Road to investigate an entry to vehicle complaint and located a subject matching the description of the suspect. During the initial investigation, the suspect produced a firearm and shot at Officer Pruett, who returned fire. The suspect fled the scene.
Officer Pruett was taken to a hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound to the abdomen. His surgery was successful, and he has been released from the hospital.

Tampa Police Department
July 30, 2020 – Tampa, Florida
A gunman drove around, shooting and wounding several people including a Tampa police officer, during a 40-minute shooting rampage. The Sheriff’s Office reported that the suspect fired upon at least 11 people in its jurisdiction, hitting two. In Tampa, at least three people were hit, including a Tampa Police Officer, and two people driving on Interstate 275. The shootings took place in the city, the county and on Interstate 275.

Philadelphia Police Department
August 8, 2020 – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Officers had received a 911 call about a person with a gun around 10pm at 800 Brill Street in the Summerdale section of Northeast Philadelphia. A Second District officer heard multiple gunshots upon his arrival and then heard two shots hit his patrol car on the passenger side
Officer Mike Mroz who had arrived to help, attempted to stop a male on a ATV but was knocked down by the rider and hit his head. He was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in stable condition.

August 9, 2020 – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Around 9:45am at the intersection of Chew Avenue and Johnson Street officers were responding to an assist on Chew Avenue when their vehicle collided with another vehicle turning onto Johnson Street. The impact caused the police vehicle to flip over.
Both officers sustained injuries and were taken to Einstein Medical Center in stable condition.
We send these quilts to these officers to provide comfort while they heal.

Nueces County ESD #2
August 2, 2020 – Corpus Christi, Texas
Crews with the Nueces County ESD #2 and the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi Fire Department responded to a trailer fire in Flour Bluff. The fire broke out at around 9pm inside a mobile home in Corpus Christi, near the Naval Air Station. Officials with ESD #2 said a three-person family lost their home and two pets in the fire (one dog and one cat).
A firefighter also suffered an injury while inside the trailer.
According to Chief Dale Scott, the firefighter was pulling some paneling back with a pry bar when his right hand got caught between the paneling and a dresser inside.

Valdosta Police Department
July 25, 2020 – Valdosta, Georgia
Officers responded to the 2000 block of West Hill Avenue, after a report that someone had stolen a car with children still inside. Officers found that the suspect physically pulled a woman from her vehicle by grabbing her around the head and neck. He then drove off in her vehicle while her three older children were still inside. The suspect then wrecked the vehicle while trying to get on I-75. He then ran on foot and approached another victim at a gas station, who was pumping gas into her truck while her 7-month-old child was in the backseat. He beat on her truck, causing damage to it while demanding that she give him her truck. When he could not get her truck, he ran off. As officers were arriving on the scene, another citizen called about another attempt to steal a motor vehicle. Officers observed vehicles following a man as he was running on West Hill Avenue towards Norman Drive Residents were yelling at the officer that the suspect had stolen a car.
The officer stopped his vehicle in front of the suspect, who tried to physically push him out of the way, while trying to get into the driver’s seat of the patrol vehicle. Another officer was able to grab him, causing him and the suspect to fall to the ground in the middle of the road, injuring the officer’s shoulder. As other officers arrived, the suspect fought with officers. One officer attempted to control him with a taser with no effect. He continued to fight with several officers while they took him into custody. He bit two officers on their hands during the struggle, causing minor injuries to the officers.

Trooper Farhan Bachu
Maryland State Police
August 7, 2020 – Belair, Maryland
Trooper Farhan Bachu was pursuing a stolen vehicle northbound on I-95, around 11am when the vehicle swerved into the right shoulder of the interstate to pass a tractor-trailer. Trooper Bachu followed the vehicle onto the right shoulder when the tractor-trailer swerved onto the shoulder and struck the trooper’s patrol vehicle. Trooper Bachu lost control of the vehicle and skidded off the right side of the road before the vehicle came to rest in a ditch. The suspect of the vehicle being pursued fled the scene after the crash and drove into Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey before Pennsylvania State Police apprehended him in Chester.
Trooper Bachu was flown to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore to be treated for his injuries.

Officer Lucas Campoverde
Grafton Police Department
August 14, 2020 – Grafton, North Dakota
Grafton Police Department officers and Walsh County Sheriff's deputies attempted to apprehend a man with an outstanding federal warrant shortly before midnight. The suspect fled on foot, and, while doing so, fired several rounds at law enforcement. Officer Lucas Campoverde was injured by the gunfire. Officer Campoverde was transported to Unity Medical Center in Grafton and later transported to Altru Health System in Grand Forks where he was receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit.

Shreveport Police Department
August 3, 2020 – Shreveport, Louisiana
Around 11am at Home Depot in the 100 block of East Bert Kouns Industrial Loop in Shreveport Detectives got word that a man wanted on four felony theft charges was at the store. As an investigator tried to put handcuffs on the suspect, he pushed the officer and ran. When the detective caught the suspect and tried to gain control of him, he produced a box cutter and began attacking the officer, slashing at her repeatedly.
The officer sustained a non-life-threatening cut to her throat; and her clothing was cut in several places.
We hope this quilt will provide her with some comfort while she recovers.

Shreveport Police Department
August 1, 2020 – Shreveport, Louisiana
Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to reports of an unresponsive male in a vehicle in the 700 block of Flournoy Lucas Road. Arriving officers made contact with a man who was initially unresponsive. Shreveport Fire Department responded to render aid. When the fire department arrived, the man placed the vehicle in drive and attempted to drive away.
The officer entered the cab of the vehicle and attempted to disable the vehicle. He was unable to stop the vehicle and the vehicle hit a pole. The officer suffered minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery. (statement provide by Shreveport Police Department)

An officer was on 62nd Street attempting to arrest a juvenile wanted on a warrant. The juvenile struggled with officers, and that’s when the officer hurt her leg. The officer has a severe leg injury and was taken to a local hospital.
We hope this quilt will provide her with some comfort while she recovers.

June 12, 2020 – China, Maine
Around 4:30pm the Maine State Police received a report of a green sports car with no registration plates failing to maintain its proper lane and driving erratically on Interstate 95 near mile marker 140 south bound in the town of Clinton. A Trooper from Troop C located the vehicle on the interstate in Waterville, and conducted a traffic stop after witnessing the reported erratic operation. Once the vehicle was stopped the Trooper attempted to identify the operator and noticed he was alone in the vehicle. The driver failed to remain at the scene, and a pursuit took place as the vehicle continued to operate erratically. Troopers from Troop D assisted in the pursuit as the vehicle continued south on Interstate 95 into Augusta where the operator exited at mile marker 113 and proceeded east on Route 3.
Trooper Mickael Nunez was outside of his vehicle as he attempted to deploy a tire deflating spike mat on Route 3 in China when the offending vehicle struck him at a high rate of speed. Trooper Nunez was brought to Maine General Medical Center in Augusta and is underwent surgery for a broken leg.
We hope this quilt will give Trooper Nunez some comfort and let him know we care.

July 28, 2020 – Parishville, New York
In the Town of Parishville around 4:20pm a single vehicle crash occurred. Firefighter Nick Jerome was driving his own vehicle, responding to an emergency call when he crashed on Catherine Street. He was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital before being airlifted to Syracuse.
We send this quilt to Firefighter Jerome to provide comfort while he recovers.
K9 Tango
Tucson Police Department
September 3, 3030 – Tucson, Arizona
Around 11pm police officers located an armed robbery suspect near Midvale Park and Headley Roads. The suspect began firing his gun. K9 Tango was shot twice in the leg but was able to continue running and help police officers catch the suspect. He was rushed to an emergency vet and went into surgery. He is expected to make a full recovery.

K9 Rossi
Baxter Police Department
August 23, 2020 – Baxter, Minnesota
The Baxter Police Department has announced their decision to retire K9 Rossi from the force after he sustained a knee injury. Rossi injured his knee during training and took six months off to recover. He came back to the police force, but a short while after his return, he began limping.
We send this quilt to K9 Rossi to give him a nice place to rest his head in his retirement.
K9 Missile
Chilton County Sheriff’s Office
August 31, 2020 – Chilton County, Alabama
Officers were conducting a traffic stop on Montgomery Avenue for a violation around 12:30pm. As they came up to the vehicle, investigators say the driver pulled out a handgun and fired without any conversation or warning. The suspect ran through a construction site on Montgomery Avenue and continued to fire. Two Thorsby officers returned fire. They requested help from the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office, Tactical Response and K9. K9 Missile located the suspect in a wooded area, hiding behind a fallen tree. The suspect then shot K9 Missile in the torso and fired at deputies. K9 Missile was taken to a local veterinary clinic where he was treated.
K9 Missile is one tough cookie as he returned to work two days later.

K9 Max
Lubbock Police Department
August 20, 2020 – Lubbock, Texas
Around 12:30am police received calls to the 2000 block of 29th Street about a stolen vehicle. Around 2:30am police began to receive calls for several robberies occurring in the same general area. A K9 Officer located the described suspect vehicle in the 4900 block of Avenue G. A short pursuit occurred with the vehicle which eventually stopped in the 4200 block of Avenue N. Four occupants in the vehicle got out and ran in different directions. The K9 officer got out of his patrol vehicle and gave chase along with his police K9. During the foot chase, several rounds, we believe, were fired towards the K9 and the officer. K9 Max was struck by gunfire twice. Once in the front left paw and once in the right-rear hind-leg area. K9 Max was quickly transported to an emergency veterinary clinic and received treatment.
K9 Max received treatment and was released home with his handler but sadly his injuries have ended his career and he will be retiring.
We provided this quilt to K9 Max to let him know we care and wish him a happy retirement.

Anchorage Police Department
August 25, 2020 – Anchorage, Alaska
Officers were called to a home in the 5800 block of Rocky Mountain Court in East Anchorage just before midnight on complaints of a loud party. Officers found people playing excessively loud music in the backyard. The officers discovered that person who had thrown the party and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Fairbanks. The suspect tried to pull away as officers handcuffed him, and police said the partygoers started to yell at the arresting officers and converge on them. As the officers made their way to the patrol car with the suspect another party goer walked up to the officers in an aggressive manner. Officers repeatedly told the second suspect to back up, and one officer pulled out his stun gun.
The second suspect then increased his pace, turned away abruptly from the officer who had the Taser, balled up his fist, and punched one of the other officers in the face more than once which caused that officer to drop to the ground.

July 12, 2020 – Crystal City, Missouri
Around 2pm a DUI driver was driving a vehicle north on the interstate and traveled from one lane into another, striking the left side of a ambulance driven by Captain Greg Maguire. The impact caused the ambulance to run off the left side of the road and strike the guardrail and then travel into the grass median, where it struck a cable median barrier and overturned. Captain Maguire and the patient were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County. JPAD Paramedic Erik Bedwell was taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur.
Captain Maguire suffered a lower back injury and is underwent surgery. Paramedic Bedwell was in the back of the ambulance when it overturned and suffered thoracic fractures throughout his spine. He underwent surgery to repair the fractures but does have some spinal cord damage and is paralyzed.
We provide this quilt to Captain Maguire to provide comfort while he heals.

July 28, 2020 – Lake City, Florida
Officers were responding to the area of NE Webster Avenue and NE Jenkins Lane around 1:30am after receiving a report of gunshots in the area. Officers found the home at the location had visible bullet holes in its exterior, so they tried to contact people inside. While the officers were knocking on the door, a shot was fired through the door from within the home. Officer Remington “Cody” Chauncey was hit, and other officers withdrew from the area to take him to the Lake City Medical Center.
We hope this quilt will provide some comfort to Officer Chauncey while he continues to recover.

A suspect shot two law enforcement officers in Parker County Thursday night while responding to a domestic disturbance between the suspect and his mother and sister. A Reno police officer was shot in the arm and was treated at a hospital. A Parker County Sheriff’s Office deputy was shot multiple times and flown to a Fort Worth hospital. A third Officer was also shot at but his equipment stopped the bullet. The suspect then holed up for several hours inside a house where he fatally shot his younger sister, started a fire, and shot himself. The suspect had shot dead his sister and his mother escaped the home through a window. Officers from multiple departments, including the Fort Worth police SWAT team, were in an hour’s long standoff with the suspect at the home in the 800 block of Harris Road in Reno.

June 5, 2020 – Cleveland, Ohio
The crash happened around 3:30am at St. Clair Avenue and E. 18th Street Downtown. Police said the SWAT officers were responding to a call of a man who had barricaded himself inside a home in the 5800 block of Lexington Avenue and was threatening to shoot police officers. While travelling eastbound on St. Clair Avenue, police said the SWAT van was struck by the driver of a vehicle who did not stop for the flashing red traffic signal. The SWAT van then struck a pole.
Five SWAT officers were transported to MetroHealth Hospital. One officer was paralyzed, one has a broken leg and knee, one has a broken knee and ankle and the two other officers had some injuries.

At approximately 3:22 am., Valdosta Police Officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Kimberly Drive, after a female called 911 and reported that she was involved in a dispute. She reported that the suspect was attempting to set her vehicle on fire. When the first officer arrived on the scene, he observed the suspect physically assaulting the female. The officer immediately ran into the residence to stop the assault. The suspect then turned on the officer and began physically resisting arrest while assaulting him. The suspect tried to grab the officer’s handgun from the holster but was not successful. The suspect did grab the officer’s taser from the holster and deployed it towards the officer. The officer was able to grab the suspect, who continued to punch the officer in the head. The officer was able to hold on to the suspect until other officers arrived on the scene and were able to detain him.

Officers were in a police vehicle heading west through an intersection around 2:45am in the 4000 block of West Chicago Avenue when they swerved to avoid another vehicle. The officers lost control and the car, and it crashed into a pole. Both officers were taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.

Around 9:30am Grand Central District Officers were trying to take a suspect into custody at the station, located at 5555 West Grand Ave, when the suspect managed to fire several shots at the Officers striking all three Officers. One Officer was shot in the neck and is in ICU, one Officer was shot in the hip, and one Officer shot in the vest.

Mason County Sheriff's Office
August 6, 2020 – Mason County, Washington
Deputies were part of a three-person search team that goes out annually when the Skokomish River levels are low to look for missing people. After locating one of three bodies they were searching for in the area of the High Steel Bridge, they tried to get to the body by climbing down the bridge, a rock broke loose and hit one deputy in the head, causing him to fall. He was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle by a Navy helicopter from Whidbey Island. The deputy suffered broken bones in his face and a concussion, but no traumatic brain injuries. A second deputy also suffered minor injuries in the process of catching the first deputy who got hit by the rock and fell about 10 feet. The second deputy was also safely rescued from the harsh terrain and transported to a hospital.
We provided quilts to these deputies to give a little comfort while they recover.

August 21, 2020 – Las Cruces, New Mexico
Las Cruces K9 Jax was assisting in the arrest of a man with a felony warrant and was injured when the suspect slammed the door of a vehicle, he was attempting to steal, on the K9 snout and neck. The suspect eventually got the door to the vehicle closed and Officer Anthony Lucero was able to pull the door open and K9 Jax was able to get the suspect into custody.

Officers were responding to a domestic dispute in the 1300 block of South Lawndale Avenue when they were engaging with a man speaking out an open third-story window. The suspect opened fire on the officers outside. One officer was shot in the hip about 3:30am and taken in serious condition to Mt. Sinai Hospital were his condition was stabilized.

August 8, 2020 – Milner, Georgia
Deputy Justyn Weaver was responding to a suspicious person report on Moore street. As Deputy Weaver was in his patrol car at the scene a man took out a shotgun and fired multiple rounds into his car. Deputy Weaver had injuries to his face and left arm and was airlifted to a hospital in Atlanta.
Update from the Lamar County Georgia Sheriff's Office:
Deputy Justyn Weaver has been released from the hospital. He was welcomed back home by his law enforcement family. Thank you for all of the prayers and support. He will still have to endure physical therapy. We are glad to have our hero Justyn Weaver back and in one piece!

Around 2:30am Beaumont Officers Sheena Yarbrough-Powell and Gabriel Fells were traveling northbound on Cardinal Drive when their patrol unit was struck head-on by a vehicle driving the wrong way near the Highway 347 overpass.
Sadly, Officer Sheena Yarbrough-Powell died in the crash. We send our condolences to the family and the Beaumont Police Department.
Officer Gabriel Fells was seriously hurt in crash and transported to a local hospital.

From the Valdosta Police Department: At approximately 2:55 am, Valdosta Police Officers were patrolling the area of Andy’s Wings in the 100 block of West Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, due to complaints of loud music and large crowds of people in the parking lot. Officers on the scene observed two males, physically fighting in the parking lot. As officers attempted to break up the fight, they fell to the ground. While they were on the ground, another suspect began kicking subjects on the ground. As officers were detaining the individuals in the fight and trying to move the crowd away, another suspect walked up and physically pushed an officer in the chest. One officer received an injury to her knee when she fell on the ground with the first two male suspects.
