February 6, 2021 – Atlanta, Georgia
An Atlanta Police Officer stopped on the interstate near 17th St. to help a driver stalled in the center lane of the highway. A short time later a DUI driver struck the stopped police vehicle from behind. The impact forced the police vehicle into the stalled vehicle.
The Officer sustained injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
We provide this quilt to let him know we care.
Corporal Miguel Thigpen
Camden County Sheriff’s Office
January 6, 2021 – McIntosh County, Georgia
Around 3am a pursuit was underway when a Police Officer clocked a vehicle speeding over 120mph going south on I-95. The Officer attempted a traffic stop, but the driver did not and instead he turned off his headlights and drove faster and at times reaching 140mph. On I-95 in Glynn County Officers used stop sticks to slow or disable the vehicle but the vehicle continued at high speeds and weaved through dozens of vehicles.
Around mile marker 1 on I-95 southbound, Corporal Miguel Thigpen used a PIT maneuver on the car. The suspect vehicle bounced off the guardrail and hit the Cpl Thigpen’s vehicle which flipped times. The impact also hit an unoccupied broken-down vehicle that was parked on the side of the interstate which caused it to burst into flames.
Cpl Thigpen was taken to Shands Hospital in Jacksonville in serious condition. He suffered a fractured knee, torn tendons in his right elbow, and other injuries. He had to have surgery to reattach ligaments in his arm.
January 27th Update: 18 staples in his elbow and he cannot put any pressure or use it for another 12 weeks. His knee is in a brace for another 6 weeks.
We hope this quilt will provide some comfort to Cpl Thigpen while he recovers.
Deputy Camron Gentry
Loudon County Sheriff’s Office
January 2, 2021 – Loudon County, Virginia
Just before 5pm Deputy Camron Gentry responded to a shoplifting complaint at the Walmart off Atlantic Boulevard. The convicted felon resisted arrest and started to fight Deputy Gentry. During the fight, the felon was able to pull a gun from his pants and shot Deputy Gentry as well as the stores two loss prevention officers. Fortunately, the two loss prevention officers suffered minor wounds and were released from the hospital the next day. Deputy Gentry suffered the most serious wounds. Several bullets struck Deputy Gentry in the upper region of both legs (hip and groin areas), shattering multiple bones. Deputy Gentry has already undergone multiple surgeries and will have many more ahead of him, along with a grueling recovery.
February 12th Update: Deputy Gentry was released from the hospital and is now at home recovering.
We send this quilt to give Deputy Gentry comfort while he recovers.
Trooper Matthew Merrill
New Hampshire State Police
December 23, 2020 – Dalton, New Hampshire
Around 9pm Trooper Matthew Merrill stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Bridge Hill Road and Route 135. Trooper Merrill approached the vehicle and gunshots were fired from the suspect and also from Trooper Merrill.
Trooper Merrill was transported to Littleton Hospital and flown to Dartmouth Medical Center in Lebanon with multiple gunshot wounds.
We provided a quilt to Trooper Merrill to give him comfort while he recovers.

Massachusetts State Police
December 31, 2020 – Springfield, Massachusetts
Around 11:30pm State Police trooper was rushing to a shot-spotter alert that multiple shots had been fired near Stafford Street in Springfield when a man opened fire on both his cruiser and that of a Springfield Police officer who had also raced to the scene.
The man shot two rounds at the cruisers and one of the rounds passed through part of the trooper’s cruiser and struck his left leg. The Springfield cop applied a tourniquet to the injured trooper’s leg until a second trooper arrived and took him to Baystate Medical Center.
We provide this quilt to this Trooper to let him know we care.
K9 Officer Keith Larson
Plymoth Police Department
December 29, 2020 – Plymoth, Massachusetts
K9 Officer Keith Larson was called to a scene at around 9:30am to search for a suspect. Officer Larson with K9 Nico pulled into a parking lot at 179 Court St., where the officer prepared Nico for the call.
In preparing for the call K9 Nico bit Officer Larson and would not release.
We send this quilt to Officer Larson to let him know we care.
Deputy Haley Hiller
Stark County Sheriff’s Department
February 5, 2020 – Osnaburg Township, Ohio
Around 1:30am on Route 44 Deputy Haley Hiller was responding to an emergency call when her vehicle lost control on the ice and slush-covered roadway. Deputy Hiller while negotiating a curve in the road near the intersection of Valleybrook Street, went off the right side and into a ditch before striking a large culvert where the vehicle then overturned.
Deputy Hiller was trapped upside down for about 30 minutes while she was extricated from the patrol car by the Louisville Fire Department and Osnaburg Township Emergency Medical Services. She was then taken to Aultman Hospital for treatment.
We hope this quilt will provide some comfort to Deputy Hiller while she recovers.

December 31, 2020 – Chicago, Illinois

The officers were involved in a crash responding to a call.
Both Officers were taken to a local hospital for their injuries.

January 1, 2021 – Pueblo West, Colorado
Deputies first tried to contact with a suspect on Friday morning in the 1000 block of Tenderfoot Lane. The suspect, who was previously known to law enforcement, had been making threats against the Tennessee State Patrol and the capitol building in Tennessee.
After no response during the first attempt, Deputy Nicolas Berumen and Sgt Joshua Rude went out a second time around 3:20 p.m. to contact the individual. When they arrived, they were immediately fired upon by the suspect. One of them was shot in the head and the other was shot in the left shoulder.

Around midnight an Officer was stationary inside of his patrol vehicle working DUI enforcement when a suspect lost control of their vehicle and struck the patrol car on the driver side.
The officer was transported to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.

December 21, 2020 – Clayton County, Ohio
Officer Kevin Behr was investigating a deer poaching complaint in Clinton County near Macedonia and Martinsville roads when he was shot by a suspect.
Officer Behr was flown to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in stable condition.
We send this quilt to Officer Behr to provide comfort.

January 2, 2021 – Lake Wales, Florida
Around 9pm an FWC Officer, that was patrolling the Avon Park Bombing Range, observed three individuals shining a spotlight from River Ranch into Avon Park Bombing Range property. The Officer stopped the individuals and during their interaction a struggle ensued, and the Officer was run over by the suspects’ UTV as they fled the scene. Several agencies responded to the scene to assist.
The FWC officer was transported to the hospital and treated for injuries.

February 6, 2021 – Riverdale, Maryland
Around 3pm Firefighters were called to the 5200 block of 57th Ave and found heavy fire coming from a home. Crews began attacking the fire and evacuation tones were sounded while firefighters moved to a defensive attack.
A firefighter suffered significant burns battling the blaze.
We send this quilt to this Firefighter to provide comfort while he recovers.
Officer Bryan Sheridan
Rochester Police Department
December 22, 2020 – Rochester, New York
Officer Bryan Sheridan was responding to a 911 call for a person trying to enter a home with a gun in the 300 block of Hague Street. Upon arrival to the home, Officer Sheridan was shot by the suspect.
Officer Sheridan was transported in stable condition.
We send this quilt to Officer Sheridan to let him know we care.
Officer Jerry Athans
McKeesport Police Department
December 20, 2020 – McKeesport, Pennsylvania
Around 4:00pm Police were alerted to a suspect being outside of a home on Yester Square inside a vehicle, which was in direct violation of a protection from abuse order he had in place. The suspect was taken into custody and a firearm had been taken from his vehicle. During the arrest the suspect became combative and kicked a window out of the Police vehicle during transport.
Officer Jerry Athans attempted to remove the suspect from his patrol vehicle. That is when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot Officer Athans three times in the neck and torso. Officer Athans was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
We provide this quilt to Officer Athans to give him comfort while he continues to recover.
Trooper Conner Wager
Montana State Police
January 15, 2021 – Emigrant, Montana
Trooper Connor Wager responded to a rollover crash just south of Emigrant. After arriving on scene, he found a vehicle on its roof with the front end completely submerged in the Yellowstone River with the driver trapped inside. Trooper Wager tethered himself with a rope and entered the near freezing water, making his way through the fast-moving current to the overturned vehicle. The strong current prevented the rear hatch from opening, so he broke through the rear window with a rescue tool and pulled the female driver out.
Both were able to make back to shore with the help of our First Responders. Trooper Wager was treated for minor injuries.
We delivered this quilt to Trooper Wager to let him know we care! Good job Trooper Wager!
Officer Kaleb Robinson
Concord Police Department
December 16, 2020 – Concord, North Carolina
About 10:30pm a 911 caller reported a potential car crash on Bruton Smith Boulevard near Interstate 85. An Officer from North Carolina's Alcohol Law Enforcement Division was the first to respond to assist the Concord Police Department. The ALE agent, who was then joined by a Concord Police Department Officer, discovered an abandoned vehicle. A woman approached the Officers describing a man who had tried to carjack her vehicle. She provided Officers with the man's description and said he was last seen running towards a nearby Sonic restaurant. The suspect's description and last known direction of travel was shared with additional responding Officers.
Officer Jason Shuping, Officer Kaleb Robinson, and the ALE agent, located the suspect at the Sonic restaurant.
As the three approached the suspect he began firing at them. Both Officer Shuping and Officer Robinson were hit. Sadly, Officer Shuping was killed. Officer Robinson was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
We send our condolences to the family and department of Officer Jason Shuping.🖤🖤💙🖤🖤

Officer Tyler Hollingsworth
Midland Police Department
December 24, 2020 – Midland, Michigan
Officer Chuck Brown and Officer Tyler Hollingsworth went to a home in Midland for a domestic assault complaint. Within minutes of arriving on scene, both Officer Brown and Hollingsworth and the suspect were all on fire.
The Officers were inside the location’s garage and they approached a man involved in a domestic dispute. The man was pouring fuel on himself. They approached the man in an attempt to stop him from hurting himself. As they grabbed the man, a fire started. Investigators are still not sure what ignited the blaze.
Officer Brown is home from the hospital but will need extensive medical care for second and third degree burns. Officer Hollingsworth remains hospitalized with third degree burns.
We hope this quilt with give Officer Hollingsworth some comfort while he continues to recover.

Midland Police Department
December 24, 2020 – Midland, Michigan

Kings Mountain Police Department
December 19, 2020 – Kings Mountain, North Carolina
Police received a call around 8pm from a home on Downing Drive, near Kings Mountain Country Club. The caller said an unknown person was on the home's back porch. The suspect then ran toward the country club. Corporal Frank Whittington had arrived on the scene and then encountered the suspect at some point. There was an exchange of gunfire and Corporal Whittington was hit.
He was transported to a local hospital for surgery. He was discharged and sent home December 31st to continue his recover at home.
We hope this quilt will provide comfort while he continues to recover.

Sergeant Joey Sepulveda
Balcones Heights Police Department
February 3, 2021 – Balcones Heights, Texas
Around 1:30 pm Sgt Joey Sepulveda and another Officer were investigating some suspicious people who may have been burglarizing vehicles in the parking lot of the Sol Apartments in the 6900 block of Interstate 10. When the officers made contact with the suspects, an exchange of gunfire occurred.
Sgt Sepulveda was hit by gunfire in the exchange. The second Officer was able to drag Sgt Sepulveda into his police vehicle and rush him to a nearby hospital. Sgt Sepulveda had surgery at Brooke Army Medical Center for wounds to the neck and shoulder.
We provide this quilt to give comfort to Sgt Sepulveda while he recovers.

Manatee County Sheriff’s Office
January 21, 2021- Bradenton, Florida
Deputies had located a stolen vehicle, b
Deputies had located a stolen vehicle, but the driver managed to get away after being involved in a traffic crash. A sheriff's helicopter later relocated the vehicle in a parking lot at 30th Ave East and 1st Street in Bradenton. As Deputies moved in to arrest the suspect, the driver attempted to get away but was blocked by a Deputy's patrol vehicle. The suspect then put the car in reverse and the Deputy got out of her patrol car and gave verbal commands.
The suspect hit the gas and ran the car into the Deputy, sending the Deputy flying onto the hood and windshield. The suspect kept going, striking another police vehicle which then caused the Deputy to fly off the hood and land hard on the pavement.
The Deputy suffered various injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The sheriff's office said she is in good condition.
We send this quilt to this Deputy to provide her comfort while she recovers.
Officer Jacob Ross
Nashville Metro Police Department
December 15, 2020 – Nashville, Tennessee
Around 6am near the on-ramp to Interstate 40 East from Second Avenue South Officer Jacob Ross was responding to a non-injury vehicle crash on I-40 in his patrol vehicle with lights activated. Another vehicle entered the intersection traveling the opposite direction and slammed into the patrol vehicle.
Officer Jacob Ross was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical but stable condition.
We send this quilt to Officer Ross to let him know we care.

Bakersfield Police Department
December 18, 2020 – Bakersfield, California

Around 4:15pm Officers were called to the 6700 block of Maria Angelica Street for a person who was holding a gun to their head and was making suicidal statements while walking around with the gun. When Officers arrived on scene, they attempted to establish a dialogue. The suspect then tried to pull out a gun from his waistband. In an attempt to subdue the suicidal subject, an Officer deployed a less-lethal foam bullet. Unfortunately, that was not effective and then the suspect ran from Officers while shooting at them.
One Officer was struck, suffering major injuries and another Officer was grazed by a bullet.
We hope these quilts will provide a little comfort to these Officers while they recover.

K9 Boogieman
Oneonta Police Department
January 20, 2021 – Oneonta, Alabama

K9 Boogieman was injured in a chaotic series of events. Chief Charles Clifton said the dog’s handler, Officer Ryan Pinyan, had gotten a service call and was loading K9 Boogieman into his police vehicle. A cat was sitting next to the air conditioner in the alley, where the cruisers are parked, and Officer Pinyan did not see the cat. At that point, the air conditioner kicked on and startled the cat, which took off running. K9 Boogieman then spotted the cat, jumped out of the vehicle and the chase was on. The cat ran behind the fire department and onto Fourth Avenue.
The cat dodged an oncoming car, but K9 Boogieman was not able too. He was struck and his left leg severely injured.

K9 Titan
San Diego Police Department
January 25, 2021 – San Diego, California
Around 11:30am Officers were called to a business on Barnett Avenue near Midway Drive and found a man that they tried talking but he refused to give them any information and kept reaching for a bag. The Officers tried to put him in handcuffs, but instead of complying, the man punched the Officers and ran. He then entered military property and climbed onto the top of a shipping container and refused to come down. He remained on the shipping container, waving a knife, for 4 hours until Police negotiators were able to get the man to come down from the container. The man continued to wave the knife and refused to put it down. Officer Javier Morales released K9 Titan.
The suspect stabbed K9 Titan in the side. Titan was rushed to an animal hospital for stab wounds to his side causing a laceration to his colon in 3 places. Several inches of K9 Titan’s colon had to be removed and he received more than 100 stitches.
We send this quilt to K9 Titan to give him a nice place to rest while he recovers.

Douglas County Sheriff’s Office
December 21, 2020 – Gardnerville, Nevada
About 11pm Deputies had pulled over a vehicle near Gillman and Douglas avenues in Gardnerville. Deputies had recognized the male passenger as a known fugitive wanted by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for violating his parole. As the Deputies went to arrest the male occupant, he shot Sgt. John Lenz three times, striking him in the chest and face.
Sgt Lenz's vest stopped two of the shots, but one shot hit his left cheek. He was taken to Carson Valley Medical Center in Gardnerville and then flown to Renown Medical Center in Reno for surgery.

Officer Marc Sharoh
Waterbury Police Department
December 8, 2020 – Waterbury, Connecticut
Officers including Officer Charles Mauriello and Officer Marc Sharoh around 2:30pm were investigating a report of a stolen car that had been involved in a kidnapping in New Britain and maybe be located near Marley Place off Wolcott Street in Waterbury. During this investigation, the suspect was seen walking up to the car in Waterbury and gunfire broke out when Officers started to approach him.
As the Officers were attempting to take the suspect into custody, the Officers recognized and noticed two SUVs — later identified as stolen SUVs — revving their engines and beginning to proceed at a high rate of speed, according to Chief Spagnolo. Those vehicles struck several police cars.
Officer Sharoh was in one of those cars and suffered a serious concussion. Officer Mauriello was shot in his vest by friendly fire. Both Officers were treated on scene and transported to a local hospital.

December 8, 2020 – Waterbury, Connecticut

K9 Blazer
Hillsboro Police Department
February 3, 2021 – Hillsboro, Oregon
Around 3pm Hillsboro Police Officers were searching for a suspect who was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant and other charges. Officers tracked the suspect to a residence at the 1000 block of SE Fir Grove Loop. With the assistance of Hillsboro Police
K9 Blazer they were able to determine the suspect was probably on the roof of a house. During this arrest K9 Blazer was bit by another dog.
We give this quilt to K9 Blazer to let him know we care.

Officer David Yelton
Warrenton Police Department
December 12, 2020 – Warrenton, Oregon
Around 11:30pm Officers were dispatched to the area of NW 13th Place and NW Warrenton Dr for a reckless driving complaint. When Officers arrived, the pickup truck was in a ditch on its side. The driver was slumped against the driver's side window and unresponsive. Officers and emergency crews made entry into the vehicle, which awoke the driver who became combative.
While being driven to the hospital by ambulance, the driver kicked Officer David Yelton who was on board and caused him to lose consciousness. The ambulance stopped and other Officers and Deputies took control and then another ambulance had to take Officer Yelton to Columbia Memorial.
We send this quilt to let Officer Yelton know we care.

December 17, 2020 – Pine Bluff, Arkansas
EMT John Spriggs Sr and EMT Joshua Godfrey had responded to a call around the 1400 block of West 23rd Avenue in Pine Bluff. They were working on a patient when a second person, not the patient, pulled out a firearm and shot them both. The patient who was being worked on was a female who had reportedly been abused. She and both EMT Spriggs and EMT Godfrey were taken to Jefferson Regional Hospital.
EMT Spriggs and EMT Godfrey were both taken into surgery.

January 5, 2021- Yakima, Washington

Around 2:30pm Officers were called to a report of a stolen car in the Walmart parking lot. Sgt Mike Henne and Sgt Mark Grow arrived on scene and tried to negotiate with two people in the stolen car.
The suspects in the vehicle decided to try and flee and hit both Sgt Henne and Sgt Grow. They were taken to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
We sent these quilts to provide some comfort to them while they recover.

Albert Lea Police Department
November 29, 2020 – Albert Lea, Minnesota
Around 2am the Albert Lea Police Department responded to a report of a possible noise complaint or weapons violation. It was reported that fireworks or gunshots were heard around an apartment building at 800 S. Fourth Ave.
Officer Kody Needham was on approach to the Shady Oaks apartment building when a person shot at him multiple times. Two shots hit his police vehicle and another hit Office Needham. Officer Needham was able to relocate to a safe area and then drive himself to the ER.
We send this quilt to Officer Needham to let him know we care.
Trooper Thomas O’Brien
New York State Police
December 3, 2020 – Hempstead, New York
Around 8:30pm Trooper Thomas O’Brien attempted to stop a vehicle, for driving while using his cellphone on the Southern Parkway near exit 23 in Hempstead. During the traffic stop, the driver refused to follow directions and was unwilling to exit the vehicle. A brief struggle ensued and the suspect then fled the scene, dragging Trooper O’Brien with his vehicle.
Trooper O’Brien was able to free himself from the vehicle and got back into his cruiser and even though he was injured, pursued the vehicle onto the Wantagh State Parkway where the driver finally came to a stop south of Old Country Road.
Trooper O’Brien suffered a knee injury and was treated and later released from an area hospital.

Officer Ricky Pugh Jr
Pine Hill Police Department
December 4, 2020 – Wilcox County, Alabama
Officer Ricky Pugh Jr was serving the a arrest warrant around 1am with other law enforcement from the Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office when he was struck by gunfire.
Officer Pugh was hit twice in the leg and once in the hand. He was transported to a Mobile area hospital.
We hope this quilt gives Officer Pugh some comfort while he continues to recover.

Nebraska State Police
December 3, 2020 – Lincoln, Nebraska
Around 5am police had received reports just about a man going into convenience stores around town asking for money and acting suspicious. He had been to seven different gas stations by the time he walked behind the counter at the U-Stop in southeast Lincoln and helped himself to cigars, prompting a 911 call.
An Officer had pulled up behind the suspects vehicle to block it in, and he and a Nebraska State Trooper approached the suspect as he walked out to his car. The suspect got in his car and began ramming the cruiser several times, pinning both the Officer and the Trooper in the open-door frame and injuring them both.

St Petersburg Police Department
December 2, 2020 – St Petersburg, Florida

Officers were on a scene outside a grocery store off 18th avenue where they were attempting to capture a man wanted on a child abuse charge. During the arrest, the suspect attempted to ram his vehicle past a blockade of police vehicles. At this time, he stuck a semiautomatic pistol outside the driver’s side window and fired several times at an Officer standing close to him.
The Officer was hit in the lower torso and was pulled to safety by another Officer. He underwent surgery at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg hospital. Another Officer injured her knee and a sustained a concussion. She was treated at a local hospital.

Cedar Park Police Department
December 9, 2020 – Cedar Park, Texas
Cedar Park Police were notified by another agency that a female driver was acting suspicious in an area where previous felony criminal acts had recently occurred. Around 1pm an Officer attempted to pull the driver over for further investigation. The driver then drove off, evading officers through parts of Cedar Park, Leander, and very briefly in parts of Travis and Williamson Counties, striking two private citizen vehicles and a marked patrol unit along the way.
When she reached the area of 100 W. Whitestone, Cedar Park K9 Officer Justin Gower and his K9 partner, Rogue got out of their vehicle to apprehend the suspect. Both were struck by the suspect vehicle and sustained injuries.
Officer Gower was treated at a local hospital and K9 Rogue was treated at a local vet clinic.

Cleveland Police Department
December 22, 2020 – Cleveland, Ohio

Around 11:30pm members of the Cleveland Division of Police’s Neighborhood Impact Community Engagement Unit were around West 130th Street and Sprecher Avenue searching for a male suspect with a warrant. The suspect was seen leaving a house with a female and getting into a vehicle in the area. The suspect initially stopped when police initiated a traffic stop, but he then put his vehicle into reverse and attempted to run two Detectives over.
One detective was thrown to the ground after the suspect rammed the police vehicle, pushing it for approximately 40 feet. His foot was run over, and he then became caught in the door before being dragged briefly.
The second detective injured his knee during the traffic stop when he dove out of the way of the accelerating vehicle.

Motorcycle Officer James Rice
Buena Park Police Department
November 28, 2020 – Buena Park, California
Around 7pm Officer James Rice had pulled over a vehicle on the Santa Anna freeway when the driver backed up and struck him before fleeing the scene.
The officer was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
We send this quilt to Officer James Rice to provide comfort while he recovers.

Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office
November 25, 2020 – Kershaw County, South Carolina
In the morning Kershaw County Deputies were chasing a stolen vehicle and the pursuit ended near the 92-mile marker, which is near the Highway 601 on I-20. State Troopers asked for assistance catching the driver of a stolen vehicle and a Kershaw County Deputy was sitting at the exit ramp. The suspect came over the hill and lost control and crashed into the Deputy's cruiser.
The Deputy was treated at the scene but had to be transported to the hospital for his injuries.
