Officers were responding to a call in the 100 block of Briar Hill Court where the officers found the suspect walking on the road holding a gun. The Officer Samuel Yoh got out of his vehicle and the suspect immediately began shooting. Officer Yoh Was rushed to Southeast Health in Dothan with multiple gunshots including one to his head.
Update 12/26/19:
Officer Yoh is showing signs of miraculous improvement. He is able to move all his limbs, acknowledge conversations and hear everyone speaking.
We hope this quilt will provide comfort to Officer Yoh while he continues to recover.

Waseca Police Department
January 7, 2020 - Waseca, Minnesota
Around 8 pm police were responding to reports of a suspicious person in the backyard of a home on the 900 block of Fourth Ave SE. 4 Waseca Police officers responded and located the suspect nearby. At some point during the encounter shots were fired and Officer Arik Matson was shot in the head. He is now in stable condition and continuing to recover.
We hope this quilt will provide comfort to Officer Matson while he continues to recover.

Chicago Police Department
November 19, 2019 – Chicago, Illinois




















The incident started as a bank robbery at a Des Plaines Bank of America involving two suspects. Des Plaines police were able to apprehend one of the bank robbers who fled on foot, but a second suspect stole a car and drove toward the city. FBI agents, Chicago police, Des Plaines officers and Illinois State Police were able to track his movements. Chicago police were waiting for the second suspect after he got off the expressway at Irving Park Road around 7 pm. Upon seeing police, the second suspect began shooting at police squad cars and a Chicago officer was shot in the head.
The Chicago Police Department Officer was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center by his partner. Police spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi said imagining revealed the bullet penetrated and exited the officer's skull. At a press conference, Dr. Marius Katilius said the officer had a skull fracture and had blood in the brain. He said he was in serious but stable condition.
We hope this quilt will provide much needed comfort and surround this officer with all our best while he continues to recover.

January 6, 2020 - Boise, Idaho




















Around 12:15 pm a suspect wanted on a felony warrant fled from police in a vehicle before he crashed into a utility box, then officers chased him on foot when they arrived at the scene.
While he was evading police, he carjacked an occupied vehicle. The woman was able to get out of her vehicle just as the suspect then used her vehicle to hit a police officer. The Boise Police Officer was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
We provide this quilt to let this officer know we care.

Clark County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Mikles was driving North on I-5, exiting at the Battle Ground off-ramp around 3 am. He noticed a car driving the opposite way down the ramp that was trying to get on the wrong side of the freeway. Deputy Mikles turned his emergency lights on and moved his car to the middle of the road to stop the driver at which time the driver crashed head-on into his patrol vehicle.
We would like to thank Deputy Mikles for putting himself in harms way to protect others. We send this quilt to let him know how much we care.

December 15, 2019 – Mason County, West Virginia




















Around 4 am at a home along the 1300 block of Whitten Ridge Road Deputies were attempting to apprehend a suspect for charges stemming from the shooting of a family member. Deputies were confronted by the suspect, who fired multiple shots toward the officers and during the exchange Deputy Matt McCormick was shot in the face. He was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital and then later transferred to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
We hope this quilt will provide Deputy McCormick comfort during his road to recovery.

December 7, 2019 – Houston, Texas




















A Houston police officer was rushed to the hospital after a drunk driver crashed into his police cruiser on. The incident happened around 1 am on Tidwell Road near John Ralston were the HPD officer was on a special assignment and had pulled over to the side of the road. This is when a drunk driver then rear-ended his patrol car.
We hope this quilt will provide this officer comfort during his recovery.
K9 Turbo
Kennesaw Police Department
November 19, 2019 – Kennesaw, Georgia


















Kennesaw police said Turbo was helping the Cobb County Police Department track two persons of interest in the theft of an auto when he injured his knee. He was rushed to the veterinarian who performed emergency surgery.

“Criminals beware….K9 Turbo, an Officer that has been rebuilt, because of the technology, Kennesaw now has the first bionic dog (not really bionic), K9 Turbo is that dog, better than he was before……better, stronger, faster!!!”

Salem Police Department
January 12, 2020 – Salem, Oregon




















A suspect located in the Fred Meyer store was identified by loss prevention staff as a suspect in previous shoplifts. While Salem Police officers were in route to the store, they learned the suspect had warrants for his arrest. Once officers arrived, they spotted the suspect pushing a cart loaded with merchandise and the suspect tried to flee down an aisle, but at the end of the aisle was Officer Joshua Walker. Officer Walker tackled the suspect into a display just as the suspect was pulling out a handgun.
Officer Walker fought with the suspect to get him into custody with the help of other officers and K9 Ghost. Officer Walker sustained a cut to his face requiring stitches. We are thankful to Officer Walker for preventing even more people from being hurt.

Memphis Police Department
December 13, 2019 – Memphis, Tennessee
The crash happened just after 10:40 am in the 6000 block of Mt. Moriah, near Apple Tree Drive. Officer Layden was taken to Regional One in critical condition. Investigators indicated that Officer Layden was driving when they believe she swerved to miss another driver who may have come into her lane, and her car flipped.
We are thankful to all the bystanders who came to her aid and flipped the patrol car back over.
We hope this quilt will provide Officer Layden comfort during her road to recovery.

Forest Hill Police Department
January 15, 2020 – Forest Hill, Texas
Around 3 am on the 6500 block of Forest Hill Drive near a 7-Eleven and Shell gas station, an altercation occurred. During this time shots were fire and Officer Naquirra Williams was hit in the arm. Next, the suspect took off in Officer Williams’ police cruiser. After a chase, the suspect crashed on the 287 NB / I30 ramp in Fort Worth, Texas. Officer Williams was shot in the forearm and taken to the hospital by another officer.

Troopers were conducting a welfare check at the home in Nelson Township, in Tioga County. Pennsylvania State Police Troopers had gone to the home after a person who has regular contact with the resident called to say the resident had been out of touch. Gary Police Department
January 13, 2020 – Gary, Indiana
The Gary Police Department was investigating in the 2500 block of Waverly Dr and had contact with a suspect who then retreated into a residence and barricaded himself inside with a weapon. SWAT arrived at the residence at 2pm and began negotiations that lasted two hours when authorities decided to enter the residence. Corporals James Nielsen and John Artibey were shot upon entry.
Corporal Nielsen was shot once in the chest which was stopped by his protective vest and once in the left arm. Corporal Artibey was injured by shrapnel to the chin and abdomen. Both officers were taken to the hospital where they were stabilized.
We hope these quilts will provide comfort to these two officers while they recover.

Santa Rosa Police Department
December 27, 2019 – Santa Rosa, California
Deputies were dispatched to Bayou Drive in Milton for a battery where a suspect refused to comply with multiple commands given by a K9 deputy. Tasing the suspect was not successful and K9 Orkon was deployed using a feature that automatically opened his cruiser’s door. A slow-moving vehicle that was passing by struck the dog as it exited.
K9 Orkon was transported to a veterinarian for examination.
We hope this quilt will give K9 Orkon a nice place to rest his head when needed.

Escambia County Sheriff’s Office


The beginning of December was tough for Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. In two separate incidents three of their deputies were shot. We send these quilts to provide comfort to those deputies.
December 6, 2019 – NAS Pensacola
A gunman went on a killing spree which resulted in the deaths of 3 people and wounding of 8 before he was shot and killed by Escambia County Sheriff's Office deputies. Two ECSO deputies were shot with one shot in the arm and the other in the leg.
December 11, 2019 – Pensacola
Deputies responded to a request for medical assistance related to a domestic disturbance. When deputies arrived at the home, one went to knock on the door and the other to look at a carport on the side of the home. When the deputy arrived at the carport, he was confronted by the calling party and gunfire was exchange. The deputy was hit 4 times.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office
November 21, 2019 – Washington County, Oregon
Deputies were on a scene of a hit-and-run crash near SW 198th Ave and SW Kinnaman Road around 10:30 am. A vehicle stolen out of Forest Grove earlier in the morning, had left the scene, but deputies saw the stolen vehicle heading east on SW Farmington Rd. As deputies attempted to stop the stolen vehicle the suspect sped off. Shortly afterward, the suspect was spotted in the 16000 block of SW Timberland Dr were the suspect attempt to speed off again. He hit two patrol vehicles causing major damage to Deputy Taras Chavarha’s patrol car and injuries to the deputy.
The suspect fled the scene of the crashes, before being spotted heading north on SW 170th Ave where he then crashed the stolen vehicle into a home. The suspect then fled the scene on foot into a nearby home on 171st Ave. A owner of the home was able to get out safely. Deputies surrounded the home for at least two hours while the suspect refused to come out.
We are thankful to see that no one else was injured and to show our gratitude we provide this quilt to Deputy Chavarha.

Floyd County Sheriff’s Office
January 7, 2020 – Prestonburg, Kentucky
A vehicle was traveling on Bays Branch Road in Floyd County when it veered into oncoming traffic. Police said it was an "almost head-on collision" with Deputy Kevin Johnson’s patrol vehicle. "We are just heartbroken for the family. And my deputy's heartbroken," said Sheriff John Hunt. "He's more that than he is any kind of physical damage that he got." The crash was believed to be related to the weather since the roads were covered in snow.
Deputy Kevin Johnson, the deputy whose car was hit, tried to assist the other driver after the crash, but his injuries were too severe. Deputy Johnson was taken to the hospital and later released. The deputy's K9 was in the vehicle but was not injured.
We send this quilt to Deputy Johnson to provide comfort during this time.

November 23, 2019 -Brooksburg, Indiana
The standoff started around 2:30 am where Troopers with the Indiana State Police responded to the home along with officers from the Madison Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, and Switzerland County Sheriff’s Office.
There were reports of a man firing shots inside and when officers arrived, they helped the other occupants get to safety.
Throughout the morning, the suspect continued to fire shots from inside the home. A SWAT team was on scene and around 8am Master Trooper Joseph Livers was shot in the leg while he was outside.

November 26, 2019 – Laredo, Texas
The incident unfolded at around 6 am when Officer Anthony Whitehawk Cabello responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of Knoll Avenue by Adler Lane near Trautmann Middle School. Shots rang out in a confrontation and Officer Whitehawk Cabello was shot and injured in the leg as a result. He was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
We provide this quilt to Officer Whitehawk Cabello to let him know we care.

December 6, 2019 – Dolton, Illinois
A crash happened near 151st Street and Woodlawn Avenue. Officer Enrique Herrera’s squad car and a second vehicle were involved. The other vehicle struck a tree. Officer Herrera was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The driver of the other car was given a field sobriety test and then taken into custody.
We send this quilt to provide comfort to Officer Herrera during his recovery.

December 3, 2019 – Waukesha, Wisconsin
A school resource officer alerted other Oshkosh police officers about an altercation with the student around 9 am. Officer Wissink said the student brandished a weapon and stabbed him.

October 26, 2019 – Memphis, Tennessee
Officer Thompson was at the scene of the crash at I-40 eastbound west of Sycamore View at approximately 9pm. when he was hit by a vehicle not involved in the accident.
He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

November 30, 2019 – Battle Creek, Michigan
Around 2:30 am officers were on patrol when they heard yelling at the home. People inside refused to open the door for the officers. About a half-dozen officers were outside when the shots were fired.
Officer Jeff Johnson was struck in the chest and left leg and a slug also grazed one of his wrists.
We send this quilt to provide comfort during Officer Johnson’s recovery.
Firefighter Christopher Pace
Worcester Fire Department
November 13, 2019 – Worcester, Massachusetts
A second-floor fire was first reported around 1 am with reports indicating a trapped baby on the third floor. Crews encountered heavy fire conditions on arrival, as the blaze spread to the third floor where they became trapped.
Sadly, a firefighter lost his life during this fire, but he selflessly saved the lives of trapped firefighters including Firefighter Christopher Pace.
We hope this quilt will provide comfort to Firefighter Pace during his recovery.

November 12, 2019 – Leesburg, Alabama
Police Investigator Jamie Chatman pulled over two subjects in a truck on Weiss Lake Boulevard in Leesburg. During the initial contact he became involved in a scuffle with the driver of the vehicle. The altercation led to Chatman being transported to Floyd Cherokee Medical Center for treatment.

November 19, 2019 – Monroe, Michigan

The department received a call around 9am from a vendor who was doing work at the Washington Arms apartment complex at 725 Washington Street near South Monroe and East Sixth streets. The tenant and the vendor were involved in a physical assault of some kind. Monroe police responded to the scene and tried to contact the tenant in the hallway when the man retreated to his apartment. That is when a struggle occurred, and the tenant pulled out a gun. During the altercation two Monroe Police Department Officers were shot.

December 24, 2109 – Fairhaven, Massachusetts
Massachusetts State Police said a vehicle rear ended a cruiser on 195 West just before Exit 18 in Fairhaven around 8:30 am. The Environmental Officer pulled over in the breakdown lane to check on hunters walking near the treeline along the highway. K9 Hank suffered minor injuries after the vehicle crashed into the back of the cruiser, he was riding in.

November 22, 2019 – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The suspect shot at police as he exited a Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority bus after police had stopped the bus. Officers had responded to a call of a person with a gun and identified the suspect when they saw him entering the bus. When the suspect exited the bus, he shot at them, striking Officer Donald Revill in the arm.

Detroit Police Department – 12th Precinct
November 20, 2019 - Detroit, Michigan
Two officers from the 12th Precinct were responding to a home invasion on Wyoming and Pembroke avenues at about 7 pm and when they arrived, the home's frantic occupants alerted them an armed suspect was in their home. Two more officers arrived for backup, and the four entered the home, cleared the upstairs of any suspects, and were coming back downstairs when the suspect opened fire with a rifle. The suspect was looking for his girlfriend as was very angry.
Sadly, a Detroit officer lost his life during the gunfire.
Officer Batoum-Bisse was shot in the leg and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
We send our love and support for the fallen officer.

November 29, 2019 – Cincinnati, Ohio
Officers were called to the 2400 block of Nottingham Road around 7 am for a report of family trouble. The initial call indicated that a male suspect had a gun and had assaulted the caller and her sister. When officers arrived, they attempted to apprehend two suspects, but they began resisting. There was approximately a six-minute struggle during which one of the suspects grabbed one of the officer's Taser.
Both officers taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. One of the officers suffered "significant facial injuries," according to Cincinnati police.

November 14, 2019 – North Hollywood, California
A LAPD motorcycle officer was injured in a crash on the 170 Freeway in North Hollywood prompting the closure of multiple lanes. The crash, involving another vehicle, was reported around 6 p.m. on the northbound 170 at Magnolia Boulevard. will provide comfort to these motorcycle officers during their recovery.

November 11, 2019 – Pacoima, California



4 LAPD officers were injured after a pursuit ended in a fiery crash in Pacoima. The suspects' vehicle had been stolen in an armed carjacking in the Bay Area on the November 10th and officers were attempting to stop the two robbery suspects in the SUV around 4:30 am near at Foothill Boulevard and Wentworth Street. During the chase the SUV went into an embankment where it overturned and was struck by an LAPD vehicle, which was then rear ended by a second LAPD vehicle. The suspects' vehicle then caught fire on the 118 Freeway westbound on-ramp at Glenoaks Boulevard.
We send these quilt out to these 4 officers to provide comfort during their recovery.

Area police responded around 10 pm to a house located in the 6300 block of Proctor Street in Comstock Township after dispatchers received several 911 calls from inside the house. Police had been in contact with the suspect as well as the family in the house while on the way to the scene before the shooting began. After hearing gunshots, officers rushed into the house to rescue the hostages.
Three of the officers, including a Kalamazoo Public Safety Officer Caleb Jones, Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Deputy Noah Susick and a Michigan State Police Trooper Mark Fletcher were shot. They were all hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

December 2, 2019 -Fort Lupton, Colorado
Around 10:40 pm officers received a report that a person armed with a gun was at the home on Ponderosa Place and was trying to contact someone at a home in the neighborhood. On the radio recording, a woman is heard telling officers that the suspect is in a vehicle and that the person who called police said the suspect “just pulled up and turned his lights off and texted the daughter that it’s too late.” She also advised officers that the suspect had a gun.
The shooting happened about three minutes after one officer radioed that he was walking up to the home, according to the recording. The officers approached with caution, according to the recording, and asked that the person who called police meet them at the front door. Greeley police said that as officers approached the home, the suspect fired shots at them, hitting Fort Lupton Police Officer Sgt Christopher Pelton. Police returned fire and shot the suspect, who was alone. Both the suspect and the officer were taken by helicopter to hospitals, initially in critical condition.
Sgt Pelton was stabilized at a hospital but remained in critical condition, Greeley police Officer Rebecca Ries said.

December 23, 2109 – Little Rock, Arkansas
Officer Samantha Hodgson was called to the Greens at Hurricane apartment complex around 8 p.m. to a person who was reportedly suicidal. When Officer Hodgson and other officers confronted the suspect police say he shot Officer Hodgson.
December 27 - *UPDATE*
Bryant PD wanted to pass on some good news. Officer Hodgson has been released this afternoon from UAMS and is with family resting. She can't thank everyone enough for the tremendous amount of support, love and prayers she has received.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says the chase started when deputies noticed a suspect speeding on his motorcycle in Pratt County. At about 6:30 p.m., Kiowa County deputies became involved when the motorcycle approached the county line, heading west. At some point during the chase, Undersheriff Scott McCaan crashed. "The lead patrol unit lost control and left the roadway," according to the Kiowa County Sheriff's Office. "The vehicle crashed into a drainage ditch."
We send this quilt to Undersheriff McCaan to provide him comfort while he recovers.
