December 11, 2020 – Springfield, Missouri
The incident began early in the morning when Deputies were dispatched to a home on Highway WW in northern Greene County for a domestic disturbance. The suspect had left the home before Deputies arrived, but the suspect drove back past the home while deputies were still in the area. Deputies tried to pull over the suspect, but the suspect sped off. Deputies pursued the suspect as he drove north into Polk County and then turned going southbound on Highway 13. During the pursuit, Lt Steve Westbrook was setting up at the intersection of Highway 13 and East 565th Road to deploy spike strips. While Lt Westbrook was waiting to throw out the spike strips, the suspect veered towards him and struck him, resulting in serious injuries.
Lt Westbrook had to be airlifted to the hospital. On December 14th (Picture attached) he was in good spirits and feeling better.

Oakland Police Department
November 3, 2020 – Oakland, California


There were dozens of robberies or attempted robberies of marijuana and other businesses throughout Oakland committed by “a caravan of armed robbers,” Oakland Deputy Chief Roland Holmgren said. Oakland police said Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a marijuana grow at around 10:15 p.m. in the 1400 block of 92nd Ave. Upon arrival, Officers attempted to detain the suspects, but there was a violent confrontation. Multiple officers suffered injuries including being run over by a suspect trying to flee.

Deputy Patrick Tate
Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office
November 24, 2020 – Harrisonburg, Virginia
Around 1:30am Deputy Patrick Tate had stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation near the intersection of Daphna Road and Brethren Road. Deputy Tate approached the vehicle and the driver immediately began shooting at him with a handgun. The driver then took off.
Deputy Tate was shot four times. He was flown to UVA Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
We provide this quilt to Deputy Tate to give him comfort while he recovers.
K9 Mack
Baton Rouge Police Department
January 6, 2021 – Baton Rouge, Louisiana

A K9 unit pulled over a suspected stolen pick-up truck around 12 a.m. in the 300 block of North 18th Street. As the Officer and his K9 waited for backup to arrive, the four occupants attempted to run away. K9 Mack gave chase to one of the occupants and was shot while detaining that suspect.
K9 Mack was transported to the LSU Vet for his injuries.
We send K9 Mack this quilt to give a nice place to rest while recovering.

Montana Highway Patrol
December 12, 2020 – I-94, Montana
An MHP Sergeant was struck in his vehicle by a semi while investigating a crash on I-94 between Huntley and Lockwood. The sergeant was parked on the righthand shoulder of the road with his emergency lights activated when the semi lost control and jackknifed, striking the rear of the patrol car and totaling it.
The sergeant was transported to a local hospital where he was examined for injuries.

Taunton Police Department
November 6, 2020 – Taunton, Massachusetts

Around 6pm Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 140 and Depot Drive, near Home Depot and Target. Around 6:30pm, while Officers were conducting an investigation of the accident scene, a vehicle came through the crash scene and struck both the Officers.
One Officer was taken to a local hospital, and the other was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.
We send these quilts to both Officers to let them know we care.

Orlando Police Department
December 19, 2020 – Orlando, Florida
Around 11:30pm Officers responded to the night club SHOTS Orlando on East Pine Street after reports of a fight. Officers were attempting to break up a fight between several people when a male suspect attacked one of the Officers. The suspect had picked up a post used to form a line and with both arms swung and struck the Officer on the head.
The Officer received a long and deep cut across the top of his head and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
We send this quilt to this Officer to let him know we care.

Chicago Police Department
November 23, 2020 – Chicago, Illinois
Around 8pm Officers were pulling over a car in the 9500 block of S Lafayette Ave when the driver sped off with an officer hanging onto the driver side door. The Officer was being dragged by the suspect vehicle for about a block. Then the suspect driver crossed over onto the wrong side of the street, lost control, and stopped because the car hit a steel pillar on the L station at 95th and the Dan Ryan Expressway. The impact sent the Officer flying into a gate. He was unconscious and not moving for several minutes.
The Officer was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition.
We hope this quilt will provide comfort to this Officer while he continues to recover.

Galesburg Fire Department
December 3, 2020 – Galesburg, Illinois
Around 5:30pm Galesburg firefighters responded to a house fire on the 900 block of McClure Street. Firefighters made entry and while attacking the fire, a Firefighter fell through the ceiling onto stairs going into the basement.
The Firefighter was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
We send this quilt to let this Firefighter know we care.

Arizona Department of Public Safety
November 16, 2020 – Buckeye, Arizona
Around 6pm Troopers were conducting traffic control and directing all northbound traffic on Route 85 into the right lane. As cars were moving to the right, the driver of a pickup truck began to pass traffic on the left and struck the back of a Trooper's patrol vehicle.
The Trooper was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
We send this quilt to give this Trooper comfort.
Officer Nick Cirello
El Cajon Police Department
December 14, 2020 – El Cajon, California
Around 8:30am police were called about an SUV that was blocking the road, and the driver was asleep behind the wheel. Officers arrived and found the driver still asleep. The Officers woke them up and at some point, the driver suddenly started the SUV and put it into gear. Officer Nick Cirello tried to stop the driver from leaving, but he ended up partially trapped in the SUV and was dragged by the suspect vehicle. While Officer Cirello was hanging from the fleeing vehicle, he was struck by another car on the road and was thrown from the SUV and landed in the roadway.
Officer Cirello suffered major injuries and was taken to a trauma center.
We hope this quilt will provide some comfort while Officer Cirello continues to recover.
Deputy John Lyons
Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office
November 17, 2020 – McDaniels, Kentucky
Deputy John Lyons was conducting a traffic stop near Ben Johnson Elementary School around 10pm. During the stop the driver shot Deputy Lyons, ran from the scene and stole a pickup truck.
Deputy Lyons was airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital.
We send this quilt to Deputy Lyons to provide comfort.

Upshur County Sheriff’s Office
November 16, 2020 – Gilmer, Texas
Around 1:30am the Gilmer Police Department and the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office responded to the CEFCO gas station at the intersection of U.S. Highway 271 and State Hwy 300 in Gilmer. Officers learned a person had fired multiple rounds inside and outside of the store. Officers located the suspect vehicle traveling south on Hwy 300 toward Longview and a car chase ensued. During the chase, the suspect shot at Officers and was able to elude Officers. Officers began checking a possible address for the suspect car on Snyder Road when a deputy's vehicle was shot from the area. While working on a plan to capture the suspect, the suspect drove up to Officers and began shooting.
An Upshur County deputy was hit by a bullet and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Officer Christine Peters
Greenbelt Police Department
January 2, 2021- Greenbelt, Maryland
Around 10pm Officer Christine Peters was assisting the U.S. Park Police with a car crash on Edmonston Road north of Cherrywood Lane when she was hit. Officer Peters was rushed to a hospital via helicopter in critical condition after being hit.
Sadly, Officer Peters succumbed to her injuries on January 14.
We had already sent the quilt to the department and hope that it might provide comfort to the family at this time.

Tulalip Tribal Police
November 17, 2020 – Tulalip, Washington
Media Release: At approximately 8:30 pm two officers with Tulalip Tribal Police Department Fish and Wildlife Division were following another boat into the Everett Marina to ensure the fishermen reached port. The Tulalip Fish and Wildlife Officers were returning to Tulalip Bay Marina when a rogue wave hit their 24ft patrol vessel causing it to capsize. Both crew members were thrown into the water. Officer Shawn Edge, boat operator and captain, was located and rescued near Hat Island by Tulalip Tribal fishermen last night and is currently recovering in the hospital. Officer Charlie Cortez is still missing and presumed deceased.
Officer Edge was treated for hypothermia.
We send our condolences to the family and department for their loss of Officer Cortes.

Trooper John Lennon
Massachusetts State Police
November 20, 2020 – Barnstable, Massachusetts
Around 11:30pm Trooper John Lennon stopped a vehicle on Camp Street. During that traffic stop the driver shot at Trooper Lennon in the hand, and then sped away from the scene. Trooper Lennon suffered a serious gunshot wound to his right hand as the round went through his hand and then struck his ballistic vest in his shoulder area.
Trooper Lennon was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
We send this quilt to provide comfort while Trooper Lennon continues to recover.
Deputy Joshua Chavez
Polk County Sheriff’s Office
November 15, 2020 – Mulberry, Florida
Around 10pm the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a suicidal adult male who posted a Facebook live video with a shotgun to his head, threatening to kill himself. His family contacted law enforcement and Deputies began searching for him. Around 11pm Deputies located the suicidal subject sitting in his vehicle under a bridge on Nichols Road in Mulberry. As they approached the windshield, they asked him to show his hands. He initially held up both hands, but then reached down and grabbed the shotgun and immediately fired at them through his windshield. Deputy Joshua Chaves was struck in the arm.
Deputy Chaves was also transported to a hospital.

Louisiana State Police
November 20, 2020 – Livingston Parish, Louisiana
At 4:30 am a Louisiana State Trooper was parked on the left shoulder of I-12 with his emergency lights on when a tanker truck left the interstate and hit the back of the Trooper’s vehicle. The crash happened on I-12 Eastbound near the Colyell/Satsuma exit. The crash caused a huge explosion that took a few hours to extinguish.
The Trooper suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Trooper Kenneth Dillon
Connecticut State Police
November 20, 2020 – Plainville, Connecticut
Around 10pm dispatchers received numerous 911 calls about a Ford F-350 being driven erratically on I-84 in Plainville. The truck was swerving across all three lanes, nearly striking numerous vehicles. Several troopers responded to the highway and boxed in the truck east of Exit 40 in West Hartford.
Trooper Kenneth Dillon approached the truck on the driver’s side, gave verbal commands and got up on the truck’s running board to make contact with the driver. The driver decided to speed off, throwing Trooper Dillon into the center lane.
Trooper Dillon was treated at Hartford Hospital for wrist injuries and cracked ribs.

Trooper Donald Stankosky
Connecticut State Police
November 20, 2020 – Wethersfield, Connecticut
Around 5pm accident occurred on I-91 south near Exit 25 in Wethersfield. Trooper Donald Stankosky and Trooper Michael Terry stopped to help a driver of a disabled vehicle on the left shoulder of the highway. As they were assisting the disabled vehicle another crash occurred. A car was following too close to a vehicle ahead of him. The first car slowed for the disabled vehicle and patrol vehicle and the second vehicle swerved to the left to avoid striking it. When it swerved it struck the rear of the Trooper’s vehicle. The impact pushed the patrol vehicle forward into the disabled vehicle and into Trooper Terry, who had just exited his vehicle.
Trooper Terry and Trooper Stankosky sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital.

K9 Rex
Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office
January 7, 2021 – Snohomish County, Washington
K9 Rex suffered what is likely career ending injuries during training. He fell from a third story hallway to the first-floor entrance. He landed on his front legs destroying the tendons and ligaments in his elbows and wrist. He was rushed to Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital in Snohomish for emergency treatment.
K9 Rex did not suffer life threatening injuries, but his road ahead is a long one. After consulting with Seattle Veterinary Specialist in Kirkland it was determined that K9 Rex’s injuries were possibly career ending. The bones in his elbows and wrist will be fused together allowing him to walk and even run eventually. That said he has a long hard road of recovery ahead of him.
We provide this quilt to K9 Rex to give him some comfort while he recovers.
K9 Castor
Clovis Police Department
December 17, 2020 – Clovis, New Mexico
Media Release: On Wednesday, December 16th, 2020, at approximately 2330 p.m., officers of the Clovis Police Department responded to the Allsups Store located at 1320 N Prince Street for a report of a male inside a white SUV pointing some type of laser at customers. Officers were not able to locate the vehicle when they responded to investigate this situation.
At about 0205 hours, officers of the Clovis Police Department observed a white in color Chevrolet Tahoe travelling on East 17th Street travelling at a high rate of speed. The officers estimated the vehicle to be in excess of 60 MPH in an area with a 35 MPH Speed limit. Officers also observed the vehicle pass flashing red lights without stopping or even slowing to get past the intersections.
Officers were able to catch up to the vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop at which time the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. At one point the vehicle stopped on State Road 108 and the driver opened the driver side door of the vehicle and had his lower body partially out of the vehicle. In an attempt to stop this incident from continuing, a Police canine Team was deployed to apprehend the driver. The Canine did reach the driver of the vehicle who then revved the engine of the Tahoe and drove away with the canine still engaged. The canine did released the driver and received some injuries as a result of the drivers reckless actions.

Trooper Davonne Barlow
Indiana State Police
December 25, 2020 – Lowell, Indiana
Around 8am Trooper Davonne Barlow had parked his patrol vehicle on the left shoulder against the concrete median barrier on the overpass at Indianapolis Boulevard. Trooper Barlow was providing emergency lighting support to warn drivers of a crash coming up. Trooper Barlow’s vehicle was rear-ended by an SUV. The force of this impact caused the patrol vehicle to strike the median wall, then the then patrol vehicle crossed all lanes of I-80/94 coming to a rest on the right shoulder.
Trooper Barlow was transported to Community Hospital in Munster for treatment.

Cleveland Police Department
November 15, 2020 – Cleveland, Ohio
Around 3 am a Cleveland Police Officer was responding to a residential alarm on the 2300 block of East 61st Street when someone fired shots. The Officer was hit in his right arm.
The officer was treated at a local hospital.

Corporal Anthony Louie
Seminole Police Department
November 13, 2020 – Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
In the early morning, while on duty, Corporal Anthony Louie responded to a house fire and found out it was his own home. Corporal Louie had to run through the flame-engulfed porch to get inside the home. Once inside the home he found his two boys that had turned a corner.
Louie’s family was not physically injured. Corporal Louie sustained serious burns across his body and smoke inhalation injuries. He was taken to a local hospital for his injuries were he was hospitalized while he recovered.
We send this quilt to give Corporal Louie some comfort while he recovers from his injuries.
Officer Jessica Cook
Salina Police Department
December 13, 2020 – Salina, Kansas
Around 9am Officer Jessica Cook was on patrol and attempted to stop a pickup without a license plate in the 200 block of Oakdale Drive. Instead of pulling over the driver accelerated, hitting speeds of 70-mph on North 9th. The chase ended after the suspect pickup truck hit Officer Cook’s Police vehicle in the intersection of Harsh and 10th Street.
Officer Cook was treated for a concussion and soreness from the crash and released.

Officer Karl Scheppelmann
Salina Police Department
December 13, 2020 – Salina, Kansas
Officer Karl Scheppelmann was attempting to make an arrest in the 2100 block of Meadowlark when a physical confrontation occurred causing him to be stabbed in the torso with a knife by the suspect. The suspect attempted to flee but was arrested.
Officer Scheppelmann was transported to Salina Regional Hospital where he was treated and later released.
We provide this quilt to give him some comfort while he recovers.

Officer Jennifer Pierce
Portland Police Bureau
December 24, 2020 – Portland, Oregon
Around 9pm Officers responded to a call of a stolen vehicle discovered at a gas station on the corner of Southeast 39th Avenue and Powell Boulevard. When Officers arrived, they saw two people inside the stolen pickup truck. When the suspects saw the Officers, they rammed a police patrol vehicle and Officer Jenifer Pierce who was outside the patrol vehicle. The suspects did take off but were later apprehended.
Officer Pierce was taken to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries.
We hope this quilt will give Officer Pierce some comfort while she recovers.

Isabella County Sheriff’s Office
November 15, 2020 – Mount Pleasant, Michigan
Around 11pm an armed robbery happened at a Speedway gas station where the suspect showed a handgun, demanded money, and fled the scene in a vehicle. While Officers were searching the area, they received a call about a second armed robbery around 11:15pm at Citgo with same suspect description. The Isabella County Sheriff’s Office and Michigan State Police arrived at the Marathon Gas Station and saw a possible suspect vehicle parked in the lot. When they approached the store, the suspect exited with a handgun.
During the altercation, a Deputy from Isabella County Sheriff’s Office was shot in the leg.

November 9, 2020 – Washington

Around 12:15pm Deputies were called out to a disturbance about someone potentially prowling cars or trying to take out items out of a car. When the Deputies arrived, they started to conduct an investigation which they then came in to contact with an individual carrying a rifle bag over his shoulder that they believed to be the suspect. When they went to speak with them, the suspect opened fire on both Deputies.
The two Deputies were shot. One in the upper arm and the other in the back.
We provide these quilts to these Deputies to let them know we care.
K9 Walker
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department
December 28, 2020 – Charlotte, North Carolina
Chief Jennings post: K9 Walker severed an artery in his nose after getting tangled up in a barbed wire while tracking a burglary suspect.
Update: January 5, 2021 – K9 Walker's medical follow up went well today. His injuries are healing nicely, and his personality is back as today's picture shows (see pic with large piece of wood). The doctor expects him to be back to full duty sooner than expected.
We send this quilt to give K9 Walker a nice place to rest while he finishes up his recovery.
K9 Keno
Erlanger Police Department
December 24, 2020 – Erlanger, Kentucky
Erlanger Police Department release: K9 Officer Keno was deployed to apprehend a suspect. After being deployed, the suspect, who was not complying with the commands of Officers, struck K9 Keno in the head. K9 Keno was injured during the altercation and was unable to continue. The K9 Handler and other Offices were able to apprehend the suspect and then rendered aid to K9 Keno. K9 Keno was evaluated by the Erlanger Vet Hospital and deemed to have a concussion. After taking it easy and getting a good night's rest K9 Keno is doing much better.

November 5, 2020 – Delafield, Wisconsin
Around 1:30am an Officer from the Delafield Police Department and another Officer from Hartland Police Department, were responding to a hit-and-run crash at the Holiday Inn Express in Delafield.
Once the two Officers were on the scene, they made contact with an individual on the outside of the hotel as they were investigating what happened. A shooting broke out between the suspect and the Officers.
Both Officers were shot and taken to local hospitals for treatment.
We provide this quilt to the Delafield Officer to provide comfort while they recover.

Wake County Sheriff’s Office
November 14, 2020 – Raleigh, North Carolina
Around 7:30pm a Wake County K9 Officer and her K9 were involved in an accident at Chelsea Drive and Banks Road, which is located south of Raleigh just east of U.S. 401. The Deputy was traveling behind a white van on Banks Road, when the van’s driver made a right turn onto Chelsea Drive. The white van then suddenly made a U-turn to get back on Banks Road, colliding with the deputy’s SUV.
The Officer had some injuries but her K9 was not injured. We send her this quilt to let her know we care.
K9 Handler Matt Miller & K9 Rebel
Chewelah Police Department
November 18, 2020 – Chewelah, Washington

Officer Matt Miller of the Chewelah Police Department was involved in a 2-vehicle collision. Officer Miller’s vehicle was struck head on at a high rate of speed by another vehicle that lost control on Hwy 395. Officer Miller had to be flown by a Life Flight helicopter to a Spokane hospital and has had to undergo several surgeries so far for his traumatic injuries. K9 Rebel was also in the vehicle when it was struck, and he suffered minor injuries requiring stitches.
We send these quilts to Officer Miller and K9 Rebel to give them some comfort while they recover.
Fire Captain Kevin Clark
Kingsburg Fire Department
December 8, 2020 – Kingsburg, California
Around 2:30am Fire Captain Kevin Clark was on the scene of a gas leak call in the area of 10th and Winter and was taking pictures of the area from the sidewalk in full gear when a vehicle drove up on the sidewalk and hit him throwing him into a power pole.
Captain Clark suffered some head trauma, broken ankle, a fractured cheekbone, and several lacerations. He was transported to Fresno CRMC Trauma Center.
Captain Clark is still recovering, and we send this quilt to give him some comfort during this time.

Frederick County Sheriff’s Office
November 11, 2020 – Frederick, Maryland
Around 3pm a Frederick County Deputy’s vehicle rolled over near I-70 and U.S. 40 alternate. The weather had caused several crashes throughout the area during this time. Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services safely removed the deputy, who was then flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma.
We provide this quilt to this Deputy to let them know we care.

Phoenix Police Department
January 1, 2021 – Phoenix, Arizona
Around 6am Police responded to a scene near 27th Street and Cactus Road. The driver of a white pick-up truck was headed in the wrong direction in the westbound lanes of Cactus Road when he struck the police vehicle. The driver was under the influence.
Officer McCance had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to a local hospital with multiple injuries.
We have attached the post from Officer McCance’s wife for you to read. **Caution: it is hard to read.
We send all our best to Officer McCance and his family and hope this quilt provides some comfort during this time.

Officer Cameron Hooks
Eureka Police department
November 11, 2020 – Eureka, California
Around 9:30am officers of the Eureka Police Department were dispatched to a hotel located at the 800 block of W. Wabash Ave for a reported assault that had just occurred. Upon arrival, officers located the involved parties and the male suspect was seated in his vehicle. Officers attempted to detain the suspect, but he refused to comply with commands or exit the vehicle. The male then fled the scene in his vehicle. Officers pursued the suspect southbound on Broadway. When the pursuit reached the intersection of Broadway and West Henderson Street, the suspect and lead pursuing EPD vehicle made it through the intersection, however the second pursuing EPD vehicle was involved in a collision with an uninvolved motorist. Due to the collision, the initial pursuing EPD vehicle discontinued the pursuit of the suspect vehicle and returned to the scene of the collision to render aid to the involved parties. Officer Cameron Hooks received injuries from the crash and was flown to an out-of-the-area trauma hospital for surgery.
We hope this quilt will provide some comfort to Officer Hooks while he recovers.

Officer Ozuna
San Antonio Police Department
October 5, 2020 – San Antonio, Texas
Two Officers pulled over a vehicle with three people inside during a traffic stop. One got out of the vehicle and ran from the Officers. Officer Ozuna chased the man on foot and ended up in a nearby driveway. When the suspect got to the driveway, he started shooting at Officer Ozuna. At one point, the suspect ran out of bullets and pulled out a second weapon and continued to shoot.
Officer Ozuna was hit directly in the body camera during the exchange of gunfire and was knocked down.
We are happy to hear Officer Ozuna was not seriously injured after being checked by medical personnel. We hope the quilt we provided gives him some comfort.
Officer Tyler Johnson
Cincinnati Police Department
November 10, 2020 – Cincinnati, Ohio
An incident began when Officers tried to stop a man who was driving a car erratically on Mitchell Avenue and I-75. Around southbound I-75 about 1.1 miles north of Interstate 74 the driver pulled over onto the right and exited the car but then started running off. Officers followed and Officer Tyler Johnson jumped off the overpass when the suspect did.
Officer Johnson was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with injuries from the jump.

Tinley Park Police Department
October 17, 2020 – Tinley Park, Illinois
The police received a call from a citizen indicating men were trying to break into vehicles at the Panera Bread. When the Officer got there the caller found the suspect vehicle parked and unoccupied in the fire lane at Best Buy. A Tinley Park Officer walked up to the suspect vehicle and two men exited the store, immediately getting into the vehicle. The officer attempted to stop the suspects by opening the driver’s side door and reaching to grab the driver. The vehicle sped away with the Officer hanging out of it. After speeding thru a stop sign, the suspect lost control and crashed head-on into a tree.
The Officer sustained several injuries and was transported to Silver Cross Hospital for treatment.

California Highway Patrol
October 22, 2020 – Barstow, California
Around 2:30am California Highway Patrol took over a pursuit on the northbound I-15 in Chino that continued through the Cajon Pass into the Barstow area. Around 4am the chase ended on the northbound I-15, south of Outlet Center Drive. Gunfire was exchanged between the suspect and the CHP Officer.
The Officer was struck and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
We provide this quilt to the Officer to let them know we care.
