October 1, 2020 – Murrieta, California
Around 3am a Murrieta Police Officer was trying to pull over a driver of a car near Jefferson Avenue and Murrieta Hot Springs for a vehicle code violation, but the motorist sped away northbound on Jefferson toward the Los Alamos Road intersection. They did not stop for the traffic light and the suspect driver continued through the intersection and plowed into another motorist in another small car. The crash impact sent the suspect driver vehicle into southbound Jefferson Avenue traffic, where it collided with another Murrieta Police Department vehicle driven by an Officer who was responding to the chase.
The patrol vehicle rolled over, and the Officer inside had to be extricated from the wreckage and airlifted to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.
We hope this quilt will provide some comfort while this Officer heals from this accident.

Willowick Police Department
October 10, 2020 – Willowick, Ohio
Eastlake Police Department initially got a call about a driver who was driving erratic and may be intoxicated. The driver went into Willowick where he crashed into a car and flipped it at the intersection of Bayridge Boulevard and Willowick Drive. Officers pulled the driver over on Daniel Drive, about a mile from the intersection where the crash happened. Officers asked the driver to show his hands and the driver pulled out a gun and started shooting towards them. Officer Ben Bruno was struck in the chest, but luckily his bullet-proof vest stopped the bullet.

Officer Tyler Vasco
North Jackson Police Department
September 30, 2020 – North Jackson, Ohio
Officer Tyler Vasco had made a routine traffic stop and was briefly speaking with the suspect at 2501 S Salem-Warren Road. During this time, the suspect then grabbed the Officer Vasco and dragged him several feet before the he was able to fall away from the car. He was transported to the hospital with injuries.
We provide this quilt to Officer Vasco to let him know we care.
K9 Luna
St Joseph County Police Department
October 13, 2020 - South Bend, Indiana
A Police Officer and a K9 were involved in the search for a suspect who shot at police and fled when officers went to a house where he was staying in the 52000 block of Lilac Road attempting to serve an arrest warrant. The suspect shot at officers and fled, prompting a multi-agency manhunt on the northwest side of the city in the area between Portage Avenue and Riverside Drive. Search teams located the suspect around 4pm and he fired at officers, according to St. Joseph Metro Homicide Unit Commander Mike Grzegorek, hitting the Officer and the K9 Luna.
The Officer was treated for a leg injury and was released from the hospital.
According to the St. Joseph County Police Department, Luna was taken to the North Central Veterinary Emergency Center in Westville, Ind., for treatment. The bullet missed Luna's leg bone but hit a vein and veterinarians decided not to remove the bullet, a department release said. Luna was cleared to return home Wednesday afternoon and is expected to recover, though veterinarians do not know if she will be able to return to service with the police department.

Los Angeles Police Department
September 26, 2020 – San Pedro, California
An individual had come into the Harbor station and when the LAPD Officer went to speak with him the assailant then began hitting the Officer and had disarmed him. The watch commander fired his gun at the suspect, who then fled. The Officer suffered a head injury during the attack and was treated at a local hospital.
We provide this quilt to this officer to let him know we care.
Lt Ralph Isaac
Pine Bluff Police Department
October 5, 2020 – Pine Bluff, Arkansas
Officers had arrived at the Econo Lodge Motel about 12:05 PM in connection with an on-going local criminal investigation. When they arrived, they were immediately met with gunfire. Lt Ralph Isaac was shot in the exchange of gunfire. Sadly, Detective Kevin Collins was shot and killed during this time.
We send our condolences to the family and the Pine Bluff Police Department for their loss.
We provide this quilt to Lt Ralph Isaac to comfort him during this time.

Portland Police Department
October 18, 2020 – Portland, Maine
Around 11pm a Portland Police Officer made a traffic stop on a small pickup truck for a traffic violation on High Street near Deering Street. The vehicle stopped but when the officer exited his vehicle the driver took off. The suspect vehicle was located a short time later on Brackett Street near Dow Street. The suspect had fled on foot but left his vehicle in gear which caused it to roll into a parked car. Officers including a K9 were able to track the driver’s scent from the vehicle to the area on Walker Street. They heard someone in the building and found the suspect had forced himself into a apartment and was confronted by the homeowner. The Officers entered the residence and the suspect resisted arrest. As the Officers brought him outside, he continued to resist arrest and kicked a Officer in the face.
The Portland Police Officer that was treated on scene and then was taken to Maine Medical Center suffered a broken tooth and a concussion from the kick to the face.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office
October 2, 2020 - Houston, Texas
A Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy was pursuing a suspect on the Katy Freeway feeder near Fry Road and when he tried to make a U-turn in the intersection, another vehicle T-boned him.
The Deputy was taken to a nearby hospital for injuries to his leg and cuts to his face from broken glass from his car window.
We provide this quilt to the Deputy to provide some comfort and let him know we care.

Deputy Travis Carroll
Wake County Sheriff’s Office
September 30, 2020 – Knightdale, North Carolina
Around 2am Deputy Travis Carroll has stopped on I-87 near Exit 9 for Smithfield Road to assist a teenager driver who was stranded on the Interstate. The driver’s vehicle had broken down in the lane of travel so Deputy Carroll was helping him push the vehicle to the shoulder. During the assist, a car sped by, hitting the Deputy Carroll.
Deputy Carroll’s arm was badly injured, and he was transported to a local hospital. The driver that hit Deputy Carroll did not stop and has not been located.
We hope this quilt gives Deputy Carroll a little comfort while he heals.

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office
September 28, 2020 – Jacksonville, Florida
A deputy with Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was shot while serving a DEA warrant in a Ribault neighborhood. The incident happened in the area of 7200 Rutledge Pearson Drive. The Deputy was shot by the suspect they were serving the warrant on.
We send this quilt tot the Deputy to provide comfort.

Owensboro Police Department
September 20, 2020 – Owensboro, Kentucky
Around 4pm Officers went to an address on the 700 block of Walnut Street to take a suspect into custody for an outstanding warrant. The suspect became combative, produced a knife, and stabbed Officer Austin Esther in the face.
The officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries from this assault.

Carver Police Department
September 19, 2020 – Carver, Massachusetts
Around 12:15am police responded to a Main Street home. While investigating the domestic incident, two officers were attacked by the residents’ large dog. Police said the officers used “great restraint” and were able to get the dog secured in the basement. One of the officers was bitten in the arm, suffering what police described as a serious injury. The officer was taken to the emergency room for treatment.

September 15, 2020 – Chicago, Illinois
A Chicago Officer was standing behind a barricade around 9pm in the 2100 block of North Central Avenue when a vehicle drove through the barricade and struck the officer. The officer was hospitalized with a broken leg.

September 5, 2020 – Chicago, Illinois
Officer were called around 1:30am to the 4900 block of South Lavergne Avenue in the Vittum Park neighborhood for a call of a person stabbed. The victim gave police a description of the suspect, and while officers were still speaking to him, a man approached a supervisor and stabbed the officer in the vest with a knife.

September 23, 2020 – Louisville, Kentucky
Amid protests the shooting of Officer Robinson Desroches and Major Aubrey Gregory happened at Brook Street and Broadway at around 8:30pm. Both officers were taken for treatment at University Hospital.

Ross County Sheriff’s Office
September 19, 2020 – Ross County, Ohio
Around 3am a Chillicothe Highway Patrol Post Trooper attempted to stop a vehicle on Jones Road in Ross County. The vehicle did not stop, and a pursuit ensued. The pursuit continued onto US 35 until the driver lost control and struck a Ross County Sheriff patrol vehicle driven by Sgt Brenton Davidson. Sgt Davidson was transported by ground to Grant Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Bland County Sheriff’s Office
September 24, 2020 – Bland, Virginia
Deputies were working alongside Virginia State Police to serve an emergency custody order at a Rocky Gap residence. However, while serving the order, Deputy James Agee sustained a concussion and a torn rotator cuff. Deputy Agee was treated at Wytheville Community Hospital before being transferred to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office

September 22, 2020 – Clemmons, Georgia
Deputy Wesley Summers was responding to an emergency call in the early-morning hours in Tanglewood Park when his vehicle was involved in a crash. Deputy Summers crawled out of his burning patrol car.
Deputy Summers was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where he underwent surgery on his wrists and is being treated for his broken ribs.
We send this quilt to provide comfort while Deputy Summers recovers.

Detroit Fire Department
August 13, 2020 – Detroit, Michigan





Around 5:30am firefighters were dispatched on an alarm to East Jefferson and Drexel to check for a fire in a building. The location is on the far North East side of the city near Grosse Pointe. Upon arrival, firefighters reported smoke showing from a commercial building. Crews started an interior attack on the two-story, 70-by-50-foot commercial building. Crews encountered heavy fire and were temporarily forced from the building. After some of the fire was knocked down from the exterior, crews re-entered the building and continued to attack the fire and extinguished it.
Around 7:30am firefighters were dispatched on a possible rekindle to the same location. Upon arrival, firefighters reported a working fire and requested additional resources. The commercial building had fire going through the roof. Shortly after arrival the building collapsed, and EMS was immediately requested for firefighters down. The front portion of the second floor of the building had collapsed, trapping at least three firefighters. Several firefighters apparently ran into the building and were not injured, but the firefighters who were standing on the sidewalk or ran away from the wall were hit by debris. Crews worked to free the trapped firefighters and prepare them for transport to the hospital.
In all, seven firefighters were injured while operating at this scene.

Officer Corey Rogers
San Antonio Police Department
September 4, 2020 – San Antonia, Texas
The incident happened around 2:30pm at an H-E-B store in the 2100 block of Fredericksburg Road. San Antonio Police Officers were first notified of the incident after receiving a call for shoplifting at the H-E-B store. Upon arrival, the shoplifting suspect was detained by H-E-B security and an off-duty Police Officer from Floresville. The suspect was then turned over to Officer Corey Rogers. As the suspect was standing in front of the police vehicle, going through his belongings in his backpack, that is when the incident turned into a vicious attack. The suspect rushed Officer Rogers and stabbed him in the face. The suspect then continued to fight Officer Rogers and the Floresville officer who was still nearby.
Officer Rogers was taken to the Brooke Army Medical Center in serious condition, and the off-duty Floresville officer was uninjured.
We hope this quilt provides some comfort to Officer Rogers while he recovers.

Officer Slade Mehas
Dunwoody Police Department
August 15, 2020 – Dunwoody, Georgia
Officer Slade Mehas had pulled over a driver for going over 100 mph on I-285. Officer Mehas was conducting a DUI investigation when his police vehicle was struck by an impaired driver, knocking the vehicle into him. Officer Mehas was then knocked into the driver of the first vehicle causing her to flip over the guardrail.

Officer Veronica Lozano
Van Ormy Police Department
September 18, 2020 – San Antonio, Texas
Around 1:30am on Interstate 35 near Loop 1604 on the Southwest Side Officer Veronica Lozano had stopped to help block traffic for a stalled 18-wheeler. Officer Lozano was exiting the car when a vehicle crashed into the rear driver’s side of the police vehicle, striking her. The driver was intoxicated.
Officer Lozano suffered a head injury and was airlifted to a local hospital.
We hope this quilt will provide Officer Lozano comfort during her recovery.

Trenton Police Department
July 29, 2020 – Trenton, New Jersey
Around 2am Trenton Police Officers were made aware of a social media post that showed a group of individuals with guns driving around the west district of the city looking for people to shoot. Officers spotted a stolen vehicle around Parkside and Olden avenues and began to follow it. During the pursuit, authorities said the suspects fired several shots at the officers, hitting the police vehicle, but not the officers. They said no officers opened fire. The pursuit ended with a crash at North Clinton and North Olden. The stolen car collided with a responding Trenton Police SUV and a minivan.
Six officers were injured and three remain in the hospital following the crash.

August 30, 2020 – Birchwood, Tennessee
Deputy Tim Denton was investigating a suspicious vehicle near the 13900 block of Pierce Road. As Deputy Denton approached the vehicle, the driver decided to take off and in so struck Deputy Denton. Deputy Denton sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local medical facility.
We provide this quilt to let Deputy Denton know we care.

September 24, 2020 - Templeton, California
Deputy Ted Lehnhoff was driving on the 3400 block of Theater Drive when he noticed an unoccupied vehicle on the side of the road. Deputy Lehnhoff continued to drive and located a man who was wanted on a felony warrant. Deputy Lehnhoff attempted to stop the man, but the man fled into the nearby cemetery and hid.
The suspect then ambushed Deputy Lehnhoff from the cemetery and shot him in the leg.
We send this quilt to provide comfort while Deputy Lehnhoff continues to recover.
Trooper M. W. Deus
Virginia State Police
September 16, 2020 – Henrico County, Virginia
Around 11:30am Trooper M.W. Deus observed a vehicle speeding while traveling west on Interstate 64 in Henrico County. He pulled the vehicle over to the right shoulder near the 192 mile marker. During the traffic stop, Trooper Deus detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver was asked to exit the vehicle and took a seat on the guardrail. However, when Trooper Deus returned to his patrol car, the suspect returned to his vehicle to retrieve something from inside and threw it into the woods. Trooper Deus watched the suspect throw the object and re-approached him. The suspect then became combative and a struggle ensued and the suspect punched Trooper Deus in the face. The two eventually ended up on the ground, and the suspect tried to forcibly remove Trooper Deus’s firearm.
Two motorists saw the struggle happening and pulled over to the right shoulder. The two then pulled the suspect off Trooper Deus and held the suspect until Henrico Police and additional state police arrived moments later.
Trooper Deus was transported to VCU Medical Center for treatment of the facial injuries.

September 2, 2020 – Augusta, Georgia
The incident started with a traffic stop near the Raceway gas station in the 3481 block of Wrightsboro Road. The driver tried to leave the scene, dragging Deputy Keith Inman across a parking lot. Deputy Inman was eventually thrown away from the car.
Deputy Inman was taken to the hospital after the incident and was reported to be in critical but guarded condition with head and body trauma.
We provide this quilt to Deputy Inman to provide comfort while he recovers.

Peculiar Police department
September 26, 2020 – Peculiar, Missouri

Around 8:30pm two Peculiar Police Department Officers were responding to a call of an armed person on SE Outer Road near South Hedgewood Hills Road. The officers located a man armed with a shotgun and during the encounter, the suspect shot at the officers. Both of the officers were struck.
Quilts were hand delivered to Peculiar Police Department.

Salt Lake City Police Department
May 30, 2020 – Salt Lake City, Utah
Officers were trying to disperse a crowd when a Salt Lake City Police Officer was hit in the head with a piece of a car door. Two vehicles were overturned and set on fire that night, including a police patrol car. Police say the Officer was hit by a metal object taken from the car of a man whose vehicle was overturned by protesters.
The officer had to be transported to the hospital and is still recovering from a traumatic brain injury.
We provide this quilt to this Officer to provide comfort while he continues to recover.

Raleigh Police Department
September 11, 2020 – Raleigh, North Carolina
A Raleigh Police Officer was responding to a call around 9:5pm for a car that hydroplaned and struck a guardrail on the I-87 South ramp to I-40. A second crash happened when another driver slowed to avoid the first crash but was struck by a third vehicle. Around 10pm the officer was in his parked car with lights flashing when his patrol car was struck by a work van. The driver of the van jumped and ran but was captured by another officer after a brief foot pursuit.
The officer was taken to WakeMed for injuries sustained in the crash.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office
September 2, 2020 – Jefferson County, Arkansas
Around 1:30pm a Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputy was conducting a traffic stop near U.S. 270 and Hardin Reed Road when an SUV with two occupants had stop and they approached him. They asked him for his name and badge number. Shortly after, the driver ran into the Deputy with the SUV, dragging him a short distance. The deputy got into his patrol vehicle and pursued the SUV to Pony Trail. The driver was taken into custody and the other passenger fled into nearby woods.
The Deputy was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

St. Louis Metro Police Dept.
September 13, 2020 – St Louis, Missouri
A St Louis Metro Police Department Officer was following a vehicle because it had no license plates. The Officer attempted to pull the car over near North Broadway and Cass Avenue. A hail of gunfire from the passenger side of the vehicle near 20th Street and Prairie Avenue struck the Officer in the passenger seat in the right shoulder through the windshield. The Officer was shot in the shoulder and was in stable condition at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

September 16, 2020 – Joliet area, Illinois
Around 1:30pm an Illinois State Trooper vehicle was stationary with emergency lights activated in the left lane in the northbound direction of I-55, south of Route 30, to assist a stalled motorist. A vehicle traveling northbound at the same location rear-ended the ISP squad car causing a multi-vehicle traffic crash. The Trooper was airlifted to the hospital in serious condition.

New Mexico State Police
September 12, 2020 – Albuquerque, New Mexico
Around 9:30am Officer Sharon Duran had pulled over a vehicle on I-40. As Officer Duran approached the truck, the suspect firing multiple rounds at the officer’s head. The suspect then fled the scene and Officer Duran had a short pursuit with the suspect. Officer Duran was treated at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
We send this quilt to Officer Duran to provide comfort during this time.
K9 Majlo
Mt Juliet Police Department
September 30, 2020 – Mt. Juliet, Tennessee
Mt. Juliet police reported K9 Majlo’s partner, Officer Chris Barth, noticed him raising his rear right leg as if he were in pain. K9 Majlo was then taken to his local veterinarian to conduct an in-depth review. The veterinarian team found an internal tendon injury to K9 Majlo’s right hind leg. The original injury likely led to an internal tendon injury to his left hind leg as well, according to Mt. Juliet police.
We provide this quilt to K9 Majlo to give him a nice place to rest and recover.
Deputy Sgt Justin Brock
Putnam County Sheriff’s Office
September 10, 2020 – Eatonton, Georgia
A collision happened in the 900 block of the Madison Road or what also is known as U.S. Highway 441 shortly before 4 a.m. Deputy Sgt Justin Brock was on an accident and was parked on the northbound shoulder of the roadway. The driver of a recreational motor home was rounding a curve and going too fast for conditions on the wet pavement. He hit Deputy Sgt Brock’s patrol vehicle head-on. Deputy Sgt Brock had lights on at the time and was sitting in his car doing paperwork when his patrol car was struck by the driver of the recreational motor home, which also was towing a pop-up camper trailer. The airbags in the vehicle deployed and he was temporarily pinned in the car.
Deputy Sgt Brock was taken by ambulance to the emergency department of Putnam General Hospital where he was treated and later released.

Deputy Darrell Hackney
Whitfield County Sheriff's Office
September 7, 2020 – Dalton, Georgia
Deputies pulled over a suspect around midnight who had been hauling a stolen trailer. The suspect fired numerous gunshots at Deputy Darrell Hackney from inside his vehicle. Deputy Hackney was struck, but his ballistic vest saved him.

September 3, 2020 – Charlotte, North Carolina
Around 7:30am a Lincoln County Emergency Medical Services vehicle was on its way to its home base when it was hit head-on by another vehicle. The crash occurred on Highway 73 near East Lincoln High School in Denver. One paramedic was onboard and required extrication to be removed from the vehicle and then was taken to Atrium Main.

August 31, 2020 – Charlotte, North Carolina
Around 2:30am a Medic Ambulance with EMT’s Tyler Briscoe and Randy McKown inside was traveling on I-277 near uptown Charlotte. A pick-up truck was traveling the wrong-way on I-277 and slammed head-on into the ambulance.
EMT Briscoe and McKown were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Seattle Police Department
August 16, 2020 – Seattle, Washington


A protest against the Seattle Police Officers Guild erupted into violence just after 10pm. Protesters set off a large explosive and attempted to break the window of a police vehicle. Police ordered the crowd to disperse and then people began throwing rocks and bottles at officers. Fireworks were also thrown at officers. Two officers were injured. One officer had fireworks to the face and the other officer had to have surgery on his knee.
September 24, 2020 – Seattle, Washington
A group began marching around Capitol Hill and First Hill causing occasional property damage along the way. The group reformed at the intersection of 11 Avenue and Pine Street. Around 10:45pm a protestor approached the East Precinct and threw an explosive that went through a roll-up gate and exploded near waiting bike officers. A few minutes later additional people cut wires powering the security cameras to the precinct. Officers attempted and they were then assaulted with bottles and rocks. The group again moved through the streets setting dumpsters on fire and throwing explosives at officers. One officer was injured when he was struck in the head with a baseball bat cracking his helmet.

A group of individuals, who were intent on damaging property and injuring Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officers, began engaging in riotous behavior at BLM Plaza and throughout the city. These individuals ignited fireworks, intentionally set fires, as well as threw projectiles--including glass, bricks and smoke grenades, at officers in the area. Additionally, lasers were used to visually impair officers. During this riot a officer suffered a broken leg.

August 15, 2020 – Waukegan, Illinois
Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies were responding around 9:45pm to a residence in the block of 13400 Victoria Lane, Beach Park, for a report of an individual armed with a knife, possibly trying to enter a home. One of the sheriff’s deputies responding to the call was traveling westbound on Wadsworth Road and collided with a vehicle that was being driven southbound in the intersection of Wadsworth Road and Green Bay Road, Beach Park.
Both the Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy and the driver of the vehicle were injured and transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Both suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
We provide this quilt to the Deputy to provide comfort while she heals.

St Louis Metro Police Department
August 29, 2020 – St Louis, Missouri
Around 5:45pm when officers headed to a neighborhood for a report of a shooting. While looking for the victim and suspect, Officer Tamarris Bohannon was shot in the head. The shooter barged into a nearby home, ordered the couple out at gunpoint and holed up inside. When officers arrived, he fired from the house. While other officers were assisting Officer Bohannon with his injury, a second officer was shot. He was hit in the leg. Both officers were loaded into patrol cars and raced to city hospitals — one to St. Louis University Hospital and the other to Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Dozens of other officers swarmed the residential neighborhood, which is a block south of Tower Grove Park. They blocked off roads for blocks around, including a section of South Grand Avenue, while the police department's SWAT and hostage negotiation teams moved in.
Sadly, Officer Tamarris Bohannon succumbed to his injuries. We send our love and support to the department and family of Officer Bohannon.
We send this quilt to the other Officer shot in the leg to provide comfort during this time.
K9 Ice
Forest Service – North Zone
August 27, 2020 – Yreka, California
A highly decorated U.S. Forest Service police dog suffered nine stab wounds during a marijuana raid in Northern California. It is the second time K9 Ice, an 11-year-old Belgian Malinois, recovered after being seriously injured on the job. K9 Ice was wounded in the Klamath National Forest south of the Oregon border when he was released to catch a suspect who had fled down a steep hill to escape the raid that unearthed more than 5,500 marijuana plants. He kept hold of the suspect even after he was stabbed, while his handler, Patrol Capt. Christopher Magallon, made the arrest. Capt. Magallon then gave his dog first aid while calling in a helicopter, which flew K9 Ice more than 70 miles to the Veterinary Specialty Center in Medford, Oregon.

August 24, 2020 – Salem, Oregon
The suspect was on probation and driving with a suspended license when Salem Police officers spotted him driving a stolen vehicle in northeast Salem just after midnight. Due to his reckless driving and the distance between officers and the car, police decided not to pursue the vehicle and escalate the situation. The officers continued to comb the area in hopes of locating the vehicle after they lost sight of it as it turned west onto Sunnyview Road NE going 100 mph.
Sgt Jake Pratt was driving on Market Street NE looking for the vehicle when the suspect ran a stop sign at Market Street and Evergreen Avene NE and crashed into his patrol vehicle. The suspect then fled as other officers arrived at the scene. Another Officer began pursuing the vehicle near the intersection of Evergreen and Ellis avenues when suddenly it stopped in the middle of the road. The suspect reversed the vehicle and collided with the front bumper of his patrol car. Near that intersection, another officer was able to use his patrol vehicle to spin the vehicle and disable it. The suspect was caught after a short foot pursuit by Officer Smith who injured his knee.

K9 Deputy Maggie Boykin
Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office
August 23, 2020 – Caddo Parrish, Louisiana
Around 11:30am K9 Deputy Maggie Boykin was eastbound enroute to a traffic accident on I-49 when she approached the intersection of Hwy. 173 and Hwy. 1 with lights and siren activated. Southbound traffic yielded to Deputy Boykin. As Deputy Boykin proceeded into the intersection she was hit by a driver of a northbound pickup.
Deputy Boykin was taken to Willis-Knighton Bossier for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Deputy Boykin's K9 was not injured.

September 6, 2020 – Lexington, South Carolina
Around 4:30 pm law enforcement responded to an area near the Manchester Park subdivision an area off Old Barnwell Road. Three deputies responded to a home on a call that a domestic situation was in progress involving a husband and wife.
At some point shortly after they arrived, deputies say the husband fired a shot that hit one of them in the upper body. The deputy was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

August 30, 2020 – Chicago, Illinois

Around 2:30am in the 3300 block of West Polk Street officers pulled over a vehicle that matched a description for an earlier call about a person driving around with a gun. The officers spotted a gun in the vehicle during the stop. They broke the windows after the suspect, who appeared to have moved from the front seat to the back seat, refused to get out. A struggle ensued and the suspect shot both officers.
One officer was shot twice on the left side and was in serious condition. He underwent surgery for lung and abdominal injuries. The other officer suffered a gunshot wound to his left shoulder and was in good condition.

K9 Officer Denny Jordan

August 31, 2020 – Mason, Ohio

Around 4:30 pm Middletown Division of Police officers were involved in a shooting at 2617 Mason Montgomery Rd. in Mason after a pursuit that began in Middletown. Officer Denny Jordan, a 21 year MPD veteran, was shot in the tricep, hand, and leg. He was transported to the Atrium Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was also shot and was transported to West Chester Hospital. Officer Jordan's K9 partner, Koda, was not injured. Multiple agencies were involved in this incident.

Deputy Eddy Luna
Comal County Sheriff’s Office
August 20, 2020 - New Braunfels, Texas
Deputies with the Comal County Sheriff’s Office were on location at a residence in the 1400 block of Springwood in Spring Branch to serve a felony warrant. While attempting to serve the warrant, Deputy Eddy Luna was shot. Air Life made location and transported the deputy to University Hospital.
Update: 3rd surgery yesterday to repair his shattered humerus was successfully put back together with a metal plate as well as several screws that will forever be his normal. Several more hours were also spent to further clean his forearm of more dirt and debris to prevent infection and is as of now believed to be successful.

After spending 26 consecutive nights in the hospital, Deputy Eddy Luna is finally going home today.

Protesters in Portland, Oregon, defied police orders to disperse and threw rocks, frozen or hard-boiled eggs and commercial-grade fireworks at officers. An Oregon State Police Trooper was struck in the head by a large rock and suffered a head injury.

A deputy was responding to a call and was heading northbound on Howe Avenue when they entered the intersection, with lights on and ended up crashed into a small sedan. The accident happened at Howe Avenue at Alta Arden Expressway just after midnight.

Tennessee Highway Patrol
September 4, 2020 – Unicoi, Tennessee
Around 1:45pm Trooper Jeremiah Downes was attempting to stop a vehicle for improper passing when the car’s driver, braked suddenly and skidded to a stop near the intersection of Lewis Road. Trooper Downes, was on a police motorcycle with lights and siren activated and was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting the left rear of the vehicle and fell from the motorcycle. Trooper Downes was transported to Johnson City Medical Center following the incident on Tennessee Highway 107.
We send this quilt to provide comfort while Trooper Downes continues to recover.

September 12, 2020 – Compton, California
Two LASD Transit Services Bureau deputies were shot at the M.L.K. Transit Center, a Metro station in Compton, around 7pm as they sat in their patrol vehicle. A gunman approached the passenger side of the car from behind, firing several rounds and then running away. The female Deputy was able to exit the passenger side of the patrol car hand on head. The second male Deputy also exited the vehicle and they were able to take cover while she called for backup. Both deputies were shot several times and the female Deputy helped saved her partner’s life by applying a tourniquet to his arm.
Both Deputies were taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood and were in ICU for several days. They have now both been released to their homes but still face additional surgeries.
We provide this quilt to the male Deputy to provide comfort while he recovers.

Trooper Robert Kreczmer
Maryland State Police
August 28, 2020 – Elkridge, Maryland
Around 2am Trooper Robert Kreczmer was working DUI enforcement in the northbound lanes of north-south corridor. Trooper Kreczmer saw a vehicle weaving across lanes of I-95 and exhibiting signs that the driver may be impaired. He pulled over the vehicle on the right shoulder near Route 100 and called for backup, got out and approached the driver’s side. Trooper Kreczmer immediately recognized a DUI and saw alcohol containers in the vehicle. After the backup arrived, Trooper Kreczmer asked the driver to exit the vehicle but the driver refused, would not provide identification and offered a name that later turned out to be false. Trooper Kreczmer then watched the driver put the vehicle in drive so he reached inside to attempt to stop the driver from fleeing. He was leaning inside the vehicle and the driver accelerated away and drove down the interstate.
He was dragged half a mile down the interstate before he was able to shoot the driver and get free of the vehicle. He was thrown into the median and suffered leg injuries.

Officer Evan Barone
Middletown Police Department
August 29, 2020 – Middletown, New York
Officer Evan Barone was driving his police car when he was flagged down in front of 28 Myrtle Ave. around 7:30pm. He got out of the car to speak to a woman about an apparent incident of domestic violence, and then was shot in the left forearm by the suspect, who had emerged from the home with a handgun. Barone returned fire immediately. The entire incident was captured on the neighbors’ ring doorbell camera. “He did an outstanding job,” Middletown Police Chief Ewanciw. He placed himself between the shooter and 3 children who were in a parked car at the scene.
